Yeah same - I worked for three years on teen, trans, rape, suicide and domestic violence hotlines... It was always heartbreaking and hard, but after I got pregnant: forget about it! My hormones pushed me to the breaking point and I had to switch careers. Sometimes human suffering is just overwhelming.

I heard this podcast about empathetic synesthesia that was crazy. It's very rare but the main person in it basically has to lock herself away from all other humans bc she literally FEELS whatever they feel. That would be my own version of hell.

I know this is off track, but everytime I think of the outrage at Amandla being cast as Rue, I get so irritated... DID NONE OF THE PEOPLE ACTUALLY READ THE DISCRIPTION OF RUE IN THE BOOK?!?
