The ‘experience’ of the sale was supposed to be similar to going into an Apple Store to configure a Mac, but you’re claiming this isn’t the case?

If they want to keep their jobs they better.
Wrong!
I have said it several times on this thread and I will say it again...
Nothing worse that a shitty salesperson. As someone who knows, I appreciate good ones. I learned from a guy who was a top 100 salesperson in the country for Toyota back in the 90s. He was an artist at sales.
Regarding the rebate, no question. Trying to get a 3 buyer into an S is upselling.
And for real, as a black guy...this week is NOT the week to be using “boy” to address me in ANY way.
There is a HUGE chasm between upselling, closing and PRESSURING.
WHAT THE IN THE HELL DID I JUST READ?
The entire point of the factory direct approach was supposedly avoiding all the shit that makes car-buying suck. I don’t want a salesman I want a cashier. Someone that I give my order to, they give me what I ordered, and I pay what it costs. Simple.
A car salesman, you may be correct.
Yessir!
Upselling as a technique does not make a person a bad human being. I always show the customer WHY the best stuff is the best and then let them go down from there.
You have obviously never been a salesman, lol.
Is it me or did it seem like the did NOTHING to try and avoid the collision? I mean he had all that room on the left and it looked like he veered right putting him SQUARE with the Smart Car.
I train retail salespeople. If you can’t up sell and close, I CANNOT HAVE YOU ON MY SALES FLOOR.
Nah...a good salesperson goes for the up sell.
What salesman worth their name does not try and upsell?
like it was never real.
