You might be right, but your post comes across like someone who has never had to rush into an unknown situation where there is a possibility death, just to help a stranger. And also someone who is sure they know better than everyone else.

It’s not wrong. It’s just a different opinion than yours. You’re free to disagree; will you not extend the same courtesy?

Had it been an actual kidnapping, would they have been overreacting by drawing their guns?  Would they have then been under-reacting if they had approached the kidnapping in a casual manner?

Trump may be a complete dickhead, guilty of everything he is accused of being, but wishing failure on his presidency (if you’re a citizen or live in the US) is like wishing for your car to break down, or hoping that you’ll run out of toilet paper when you need it most. It’s stupid and counterproductive.

Gangs of teens are nothing. Try endless hords of pedestrians trying to get to work. Picture any intersection in midtown Manhattan at 8:00AM. You think they’ll stop crossing when the light changes, once they know that the cars won’t move?

And yet for all these complaints about flying the Trump flag, his picture (as CiC), along with that of SecDef James Mattis and the secretary of the branch is hung in every barracks/office in the DoD.

Go talk to some factory workers who are well represented by their unions (like the auto workers are) before classifying them as crappy jobs: They have good pay, good benefits, regular hours, pensions with health care for them and family when they retire.
