How about room temperature in Port Harcourt Nigeria?
Another slant on the same story:
$21 million worth of sand... according tot he article.
Ok, a concession. The point is that rule #3 in the article is wrong. Cruise control holds the speed constant. RPM varies whenever the transmission shifts. And I have never seen cruise control on a modern manual transmission car.
...Nope. You contradict yourself in two paragraphs. First you say “You’re always going to be going the same RPM if you stay at the same speed and gear.” This is true.
Rule # 3 says “Don’t use cruise control: You want to vary your engine’s RPM while driving during the break-in period. Cruise control is going to set the engine at one RPM.”
It detaches at will, but the image of that happening is funny...
Holy moley. Sounds delicious! Now I’m hungry and have to go find something to eat. Thanks...
Hey! Some of my best friends are left-leaning, politically-driven, sanctimonious hipsters.
I think you hit the nail on the head. “Jack” presented the bait and Jonee took it. Hard.
You and “Jack” should get a room and hug this out. You’re both right, and you’re both idiots.
“Wait a second you’re not an approved commenter here and you’re telling the staff here what does and does not belong on Jalopnik?”
Where I come from I see no such correlation. I see $60K+ pickup trucks parked perfectly and falling apart riced-out 1990's Honda’s parked diagonally. And vice versa. Around here it’s all in the individual’s attitude that I can’t correlate to car type. Yet. Although BMW owners seem to live up to their reputation. And…
Il est une voiture conçue pour regarder allemand.
So your frustration is not with the vehicles, but with bad drivers. Doesn’t matter if it’s an Escalade or a Hundai that is poorly driven/parked.
Yeah I agree with you on the posing, and I see it all the time too, but so what? Why let complete strangers annoy you? I don’t get why some people care so much about what other people do. Who cares what they spend their money on?
The horse crowd already have their Super Duty F-450s (King Ranch or Platinum) with duallys and a fifth wheel.
I have to ask: so why does it annoy you that there are nice cars in your parking garage? Why do you care what other people do and what they spend their money on? Presumably they have earned it by working (hence parking the in the commuter rail lots). Depending on what state you’re in, they have probably paid sales tax…
