Agreed. For me it was physical and emotional abuse, not sexual assault, but I relate to the mindfuckery and most keenly to that weird desire to be comforted for the injury caused by that person.

This reminds me of something I forgot to say in another post—jeans and yoga pants actually feel less comfortable to me than the nice dresses or dress jumpers I wear. Having a cardigan or suit jacket also helps with layering.

Ha! I feel ya. I’m 30 and loved a Nicki Minj song a year ago where she talks about partying ‘cause they’re still young ... looked her up, saw she was 32, and thought, “Okay, I can still go to clubs and not feel too nuts!” Ha.

I LOVE this too! I’ve had a complex about Margot for awhile—had many times when I read an article — since at least 2011—and was like, “WHAT?! Dude, she’s 20?! Or 22? Or 23?!”
