I had to restrain myself from making this comment so thank you for doing it for me .

UVA in particular , it’s part of the guaranteed admission program in Virginia. If you maintain a high enough GPA at a participating community college you are admitted to UVA as a junior. I know some one who struggled in HS but turned it around ant NVCC and got in that way.

You can fail out, and that is only one school, my non ivy league school definitely gave out D’s and F’s. I’m sure you can fail out at Brown as well especially if you are just not showing up to class. I’m sure there is some consequence when you get a bunch of “no credit” grades in classes. I’m just saying if they are

It’s thing’s like this that made me put my husband in charge of making Dr. appointments for our daughter. So 18 years from now I’m not the only one going down for wire fraud because I had do all the leg work for our bribes.

From reading the indictments it does sound like at least Felicity Huffman had an SAT tutor for her kids but if the kids spends tutoring time instragraming instead of paying attention even the best tutor isn’t going to do much.

I posted else where but if you have the money for tutors and to take multiple practice tests and sit the real exams multiple times it is not hard to boost your score. It won’t get you to a perfect score but it can boost you in to a much more competitive range. It just requires actual effort on the part of the student

Not that I think these kids are smart and hardworking and just needed a little help but there is no correlation between ACT/SAT scores and college performance. Ivy league schools are also notorious for grade inflation so as long as you show up and do some work you can probably skate by. For example

It’s more likely named after Varsity Blues a teen movie from the 90's about a football team in Texas.

It looks like in Lori Loughlins case at least her daughter was not really interested in going to college and only going because her parents were forcing her, so I don’t think she was very involved in the process. I’m going to guess at least with the cheating on testing a lot of the kids didn’t care/want to go. It’s

This is what drives me crazy. I just went and looked at my EOB because I had the flu test earlier this month. My insurance was charged $72 for my flu test , there was a $52.16 discount so they paid $19.84 for my flu test which I am going to assume is not any different from your kids that cost 14 times as much. There

This just made me laugh because my daughters favorite book right now is a Thomas the the Tank engine book with wheels.

One of the opponents to the bill, Carrie Ann Lucas, spoke on behalf of Not Dead Yet, a New-York based disability rights group.

You are aware this happens every year. You can easily find their audited financial statements online.

She has a family history of schizophrenia and has been diagnosed with early onset schizophrenia. She most likely did believe that Slenderman was real and a threat to her family.

Early childhood vaccines are given at well child visits ( 1 week , 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months ,18 months, 2 years 2.5 years and yearly after that) you don’t get them at every visit even if it does feel like it at times. Well off people have a much better chance of

My husband used to work with a bunch of PhD’s who were doing work in advanced mathematics. One of them continually called him because his monitor was broken except it never was he just unplugged it (multiple times) to plug in something else.

I just checked because I was curious - I have 2899 items in my kindle library. I don’t have room for anywhere near that many books in my house.

I implemented the same rules years ago, I used to keep everything books I didn’t enjoy , books I grabbed at the airport just to have something to read, books I enjoyed when I was younger but was never going read again, books I only bought because it was the next/last one in a series. I was able to purge a lot of stuff

teaches them whatever they want to learn

Because there is no real benefit to teaching kids to read before they’re ready and forcing them to can make them hate it.
