Nah this is amateur hour compared to what the Aussies do for their safe driving PSA’s. And this is one of the nicer, mellower ones too:

Just a note to any Americans considering Vancouver and Toronto - if you want to move to one of these cities, you better start thinking of this as a million dollar home:

Great article Kristin - i get so tired of hearing the anti-renters mentality so many people have.

Bra-fucking-vo mate. You win the internet today.

Hate to see what you think Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney are then, since he pretty much copied his "socialist" Obamacare from their ideas.

    “Abortion Hurts!”

This article was going around the Toronto improv community a few weeks back and says the same things:

“I’m most afraid of the same as the last four years. Nothing in life is free, and that’s what really needs to be fixed here and in the whole country. The people are living off the system. The people that are coming in and we’re helping out more than we’re helping out our own.”

I’m guessing the only person he empathized with was Inspector Javert.

My dad flew from Lagos to Frankfurt in the 80's with Lufthansa and fell asleep during meal service. When he woke up and they were landing, the food hadn’t been removed and all the trays were still down.

    • Asking a person to trade seats with you so that you can sit with a partner is only okay if you’re offering up a better seat. Never expect anyone to trade their window or aisle seat for a middle.

Same here - the best part was that everyone kept sending emails telling everyone to stop hitting reply all, while replying all.

“In hindsight, a few of the thoughts I shared, while well-intended, may have come across as more motherly than what they would expect from their state representative,” she wrote.

They’re usually the “I’m the victim/I’ll one-up you/Hey everybody, look at me” crowd, which they ironically tend to despise in other people.

Yeah human rights and decency are not a limited quantity, nor is it a zero-sum game; if I treat you with dignity and respect, you have in no way suffered a loss if I turn around and treat another person with the same dignity and respect that I gave you. And BLM isn’t asking for special treatment - they’re asking for

Nothing But Trouble is a guilty pleasure of mine, along with The Room. It’s fascinating that WB thought this was a good idea for a movie and spent 40 million on it.

She’s probably looking out for the family bank account and their children’s future inheritence. If this goes badly in criminal court, her testimony will be on record and the civil claimants and their lawyers will take Bill to the cleaners (which I hope they do).

The Sun newspaper chain in Canada is pretty appalling (they tried to launch a Fox News equivalent here but it went off the air after 2 years because it sucked).

It was also all that collaboration which made the first three movies superior to the prequels. Yes George came up with the universe and characters, but I’m sure his collaborators, many of whom had more experience than him at the time like Leigh Brackett, probably put the brakes on some of his ideas and encouraged him

The most damning review I saw came from What Car? magazine for the Lada Niva, which got one star.
