Judging witness credibility is the primary job of the factfinder (jury in this case, judge in bench trials).

She’s not a victim...

There’s nothing unusual about a juror trying to evaluate a witness’s credibility -- that’s a major function of the jury.  The juror here isn’t saying, “Amber Heard was sad, and I don’t like people being sad, so I punished her.”  He’s saying that the way she appeared upset, then suddenly not, over and over again, was

Except witness testimony and behavior is part of the evidence. It’s why we have live testimony. The jury is able to see how the witness behaves in response to questions.  Body language makes up a large part of human communication, so it’s not to be discounted. If we didn’t think it was important trials would consist

Making determinations about the credibility of a witness is and always has been a key role for a finder of fact whether that's a judge or a jury, sorry that well-established part of the legal system makes you uncomfortable.

I didn’t get that message based upon the full quote.  It sounded like they thought she was perhaps being untruthful and putting on a performance.

That’s not really fair.  You’ve never had someone’s demeanor be so off-putting that it made you uncomfortable and made that person seem untrustworthy to you?

Am I the only one that actually likes the new Silverados? I find them quite sharp (the HDs do have weird proportions, I must admit), aside from the ones with the lack of bowtie on the front grille.

Dissenting opinion: Of current fullsize truck styling, I actually dig the Chevy in Trail Boss guise. Other than the Raptor, the F-150 is old man frumpy and the refresh didn’t help that much.

Can confirm that the two worst things to happen to hockey in the triangle was ‘02 and ‘06. My uncle moved there in the early 90s and was “a fan from the beginning” for the Canes when they lost to the Wings in 2002. He was insufferable in 03. A barn full of fair-weathers who boo icing calls.

Yes. I’m not outraged, but I do think it’s hackneyed, old ground that football players have tilled already. Find another shallow stunt.  I am an old person though, and the players probably have their marching orders to rescue Tom Dundon’s ‘investment’.

I’d be the last guy in the world to defend Don Cherry but if you don’t think he’s gone off on goal celebrations he finds offensive you just must not have watched him for very long.

I feel like there can be a middle ground here. You can feel like Cherry and the old guard and all their “respect the game” stuff is obnoxious and terrible while thinking that the new hockey media’s desperation to make everything a fucking meme is exhausting. It’s “Please Like My Sport” for the Internet Age and these

You think Don Cherry would wear something that has only two colours and no patterns?

This^^^. They both have problems. I’m an andoid person but a lot of the family members I “support” are on Apple. It’s nuanced but it’s the same shitshow of problems. Also don’t tout Android as this bastion of “security” and “bug-free-ness”. It’s got problems, especially on a shitton of devices that get zero updates

And warranty support? No one does it as well as Apple. Period.
