Pre 9/11 you did not have people carrying all of their household belongings on board. The airlines did not charge so people checked their bags rather than having a family of 5 taking up 5 overheads.

He should have bought an AMPHICAR!
Seriously. Tell us you are really not that STUPID and are just trolling. On a public road, does not matter how good a driver you think you are. Your rights end the moment you put the lives of other drivers at stake as this road_pizza_for_brains Mustang jackwad chose to do.

Sad thing is that these antiquicated laws were never really about the environment or safety. They were enacted on behalf of lobbyists from companies like MB, BMW, and Porsche who were trying to prevent grey market vehicles from being imported into the USA.
It is this sort of extremism by petty bureaucrats that gives agencies like the EPA a bad reputation.
I gave up on the Pilot Sports for my Jaguar. Similar experience. Switched to a “performance all season” Dunlop. Not as sticky but no more punctures or sidewall bubbles.
After PA potholes killed 4 high performance tires on my Jag in a year, I went to all seasons. Have not had a sidewall bubble since.
Hate to admit it but I like the new Top gear better than Grand Tour. The latter seems like they are just mailing it in. Overly scripted and each episode feels like the same show with different cars over and over again.
Yeah, sure you did. You were an 8 year old automotive progeny.
I’ve owned many cars which are better on paper in every way vs my 74 914 2.0. None have been as much fun to drive with a pure man to machine connection.
Good way to burn your money. You will probably see 50% depreciation in year 1.
Funny how times change. These days Putin drives around Red Square in a Cadillac with a bumper sticker proclaiming, “I Love TRUMP”. :-)
I believe the proper term is, “stupid money”.
Biggest issue with super low miles cars like this is that if you actually use it and add on miles, it will depreciate like a rock.
If Kinja Deals can get a cut, they will soon be running ads for this class!
Americans have exactly the kind if horrid airlines to they deserve. Carriers who tried to offer a better experience (remember Midwest express) are out of business because consumers will always choose poorer service if it saves them $10 bucks.
Must be nice to be a 1%er while regular people struggle with the payment on their Corolla.
If Klaus were smart they would have paid the $15k in exchange for a non-disclosure agreement. I bet the bad press costs them far more than that.
My wishes are simple. A streaming device that seamlessly integrated OTA Guide with Streaming Services Guide. For example, if I have an OTA antenna and DirecTV Now. provide a single seamless guide that lets me easily flip between channels regardless of source.
