As a Philly-area native: Cheesesteaks are good but roast porks are better. One of the few positive developments during this pandemic is that a new sandwich pop-up has emerged here in Denver that does the best iterations of either sandwich I’ve had outside of the region.
I know they’re cheap and plentiful and nutritious and often taste surprisingly good, but I just can’t do it. Not with the bug left whole or in large enough pieces that it’s still easily identifiable. Incorporate it into a flour or puree or something and we can talk.
