You mentioned two aspects that they should really address for a store of this type: “lot of packaged junk food” and “paper towels were indeed horrible”.

I don’t know about the meet since I don’t consume that, but all frozen food I have purchased there is either from US/Canada or the EU (mostly Germany). Never encounter Chinese food, but maybe there are a couple of items.

The main reason is its other German fearest competitor, Lidl, is going to launch in the US soon.
