Manufacturers don’t have to build an Android/iOS OS. All they have to do is have the interface that the phone can interact with. They can still build their proprietary systems like they already do, but just add that connection interface into the system. And most of the manufacturers are offering both CP/AA in the same

Any vehicle that has AA/CP still has their own interface underneath. They just also have the ability to run the phone’s auto-mirroring app. So you don’t have an iPhone/Android, no loss.

You won’t have to choose based on your phone. The systems will be compatible with both AA and CP. And Facebook isn’t an approved AA/CP app. You will not be able to use social networking/video/email apps.

My fiancée’s Altima won’t allow BT pairing if the car is in motion. How did you do this?

I don’t want wifi in my car

Because most Jalops refuse to educate themselves on the subject. They think the OS is run on the car’s system, that it will never be updated, that it will allow apps like Facebook, Twitter, email, and YouTube to be used, that text messages are displayed on the screen and not read aloud, that it means volume knobs are

How the hell would I keep up with an in-dash iOS or Android device that would be far older and non-compatible before even most lease periods end?

You don’t think a tethered display would be capable of putting the phone into “CarMode”?

Again, Apple and Google’s systems do not work this way.

Yes.

Yeah, they definitely do.

That’s exactly what it is. You’ve exposed them!

I’ve never been to 21st Amendment before, nor do I know where it is. Should I enter it into my GPS? Naw, I’ll just wing it.

I’ll own up to maybe I shouldn’t have made my first response in the way I did. I can definitely see after reading it again how you could take it in a way I didn’t mean.

It was a lighthearted rib at you saying “THAT is what’s wrong with this.” Sorry you took it the wrong way.

Sorry about your feelings.

It’s already been explained to you, but I’ll explain again anyway...
