You can admire LeBron but still hate him! That’s how sports work!

And if I’m going to make obviously jokes, LeBron running layup drills with Mar____ Morris on his back isn’t really surprising; he’s been carrying Kevin Love and Kyrie for the last 3 years!

The pop culture reference that I immediately thought of was: come at the king, you best not miss.

No one can argue Le Bron deserves a 1B GOAT status...

There was a fairly long period of time (most of the 80s?) when Prince only made the oversize 110s. If you grew up with the old, small racquets, it looked (and played, IMHO) like a clown racquet. For a good, long while, it was mainly rich old dudes and trust fund barbies using the 110. Having Michael Chang and Pam

me watching the fight: “freeeeeeeedddddommm! Gentlemen in England now a-bed shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here!”

Presumably his own club knows him best; if they saw Salah doing 1/2 of what he did this year, Roma should have held on to him as an undervalued asset.

money is fungible. money not spent on a golden pleasure dome could easily be spent on things to help the school, its students, and the community.

That is an excellent reply! It reminds me of the quip about how it feels when the only child gets a little sibling. Imagine telling your wife: “honey, i’m bringing home another wife. but don’t worry, i still love you just as much.”

Kerr’s point about the 3-pt shot making lead changes more pronounced is spot on - you can’t argue with math.

“So, you want a realistic, down-to-Earth show, that’s completely off the wall and swarming with magic robots”

Is Holtby riding the longest shutout streak in history right now? The NBCSN guys mentioned the 5 goalies with back to back shutouts, but Holtby’s also coming off (basically) 2 shutout periods at the end of game 5, so he’s gotta be close to some sort of record, right?

My semi-related take is that hockey really depends on an entire roster, and decades of commentary around “which gritty Canadian veteran wants it more” has blinded us to the fact that 2nd, 3rd, 4th line guys matter too. Especially in the playoffs, where everyone’s hurt and some stars are gassed from playing too many

My buzz was totally killed by seeing Leonsis in the post game.

Anecdotally... and I don’t think I’m alone... I am 100% a casual hockey fan. After the Caps lose, it’s entirely dependent on the matchups and teams as to whether or not I watch another minute of NHL hockey or whether I’m watching the NBA. I watched all of the Blackhawks and Kings winning runs, and none on the Pens.

Has anybody published the penalty box cam footage? I’d love to see how the “you wanna do this? yeah i wanna do this, you wanna do this? so we doing this? yeah we’re doing this? we doing this now? right now” played out. With the weird hono(u)r hockey players have, I wonder if Coburn didn’t realize he deserved an

It does sound like someone handed out talking points, right? I mean, I get that people have to eat, and every one of us would still want to keep our jobs if our colleague did something horrendous...

is this more or less dangerous than demolition derby??? cause up til now, that was the craziest any-dumb-asses-want-to-a-chance-to-win-$1000 even i’ve ever seen.

Isn’t that a Nando’s flavor???

The Lightning still look pretty poor 5v5 (at least on the stat sheet) — which seems odd to say because like everyone else I’m mesmerized/terrified by how good they look when they do score.
