My take was that Beyonce used “Becky” as a way to explore the way black women are made to feel less desirable than white women by our culture rather than call out a specific woman. They are wrong on so many levels...racist, hideously ugly, and using people’s likeness without permission. I mean these weren’t made in someone’s garage, there had to be a million layers of lawyers, publicists, designers, producers, etc. and not 1 said hey, this is a bad idea?

I am not surprised they didn’t know better, but I am surprised there wasn’t one person involved in this whole process who didn’t understand this very basic issue.
