Agreed. Squeenix sucks major donkey d*cks when it comes to the smartphone versions of their games. I bought FFIII off the Google Play store and it was such a bad port that I just ended up getting a Nintendo 3DS and bought the DS version of the game.

Even if Sega did decide to release a new console with specs above those of the XOne and PS4, the hardware wouldn’t be that much more powerful than those two if Sega wanted to release it at a consumer friendly price and steal market share from Sony and Microsoft.

I agree with you that Nintendo needs to leave the home console business. Their way of doing business is antiquated, even if they’re still profitable. Their IPs are getting tired (Yes, even the newest Mario Kart and Smash Bros). Franchise fatigue is a real thing. Nintendo would do well as a third party home console…

A new console from Sega would never succeed no matter how strong of a first-party lineup they released it with. Third-party support would not happen again. The market cannot accommodate a 4th home console and Sega has ruined most of its popular IPs and killed off fan favorites from the Dreamcast era. They don’t know…
