I’m loving the “Get off my lawn” attitude flowing here. My guess is a lot of you don’t drive in the snow, because ABS can modulate the brakes better than you can. Get over it! It’s like saying “I can sit down and multiple 4309 x 816 by hand, screw using a calculator!”

How is the fit and finish compared to the competitors in the segment? (Focus, Cruze, etc)

For #6, I've done this twice and both times the 911 operator was CLUELESS as to the location. I was so annoyed I told them they should just google search where I was, it would be faster. I had told them the name of the school I was at, the nearest cross streets and that we were on the football field. Still no dice.

This article is perfect timing for me. I have a 10 year old /145k mileage car that needs about 75% of it's private party value in repairs...roughly 100% of it's trade in value. I've been trying to figure out a way to swing a new car payment...haven't come up with a solution yet.

Usually, the top half of the ship (passenger areas) are constructed out of aluminum and are mostly open space. The lower areas are steel. Also, the major mechanical bits like the engines, water/waste treatment, laundry etc are at or below the water line. The heavy fuel oil and ballast are in tanks below the water

This is amazing. The community here is awesome and it's great to see things like this happen for good.

I went. Looked high and low for comment cards. None to be found, but I did tell the young guy in the lobby standing with the Trailhawk that it was ugly as sin and Jeep's destroyed an icon. FWIW...

They're working towards it. It's not going to happen overnight. What they've done in the last 5 years has been nothing short of remarkable.

Last time I checked, the money was a loan, and Tesla's ahead of schedule in paying back the money.

I'm REALLY hoping they have comment cards at the NY Auto Show this week. I'll fill a few of them out.

What I'm surprised about is that the revelation that it wasn't originally Jeep's design in the first place. Really now? It's CLEARLY an Italian design. My annoyance came from the disconnect that Fiat had about it. "Oh we can just take this thing and slap the Cherokee name on it, NBD".

"There is a huge gap between before 2007 hires and after 2008."

I agree that design is supposed to provoke conversation. I think Jeep would have achieved that had they not completely butchered the front. Jeep alienated their target market, and that's a mistake that they're going to regret for a while. Jeep owners want something that looks tough, not swoops and curves and two piece

I've been looking for that thing around the internet since I saw the picture a while ago, even searching on gsmarena. Got a model # for it?

See this Jeep? THIS  is how you design a front end that the entire internet won't recoil is horror from.

The Vehicross is making a comeback?

I want to start this by saying that I like the design itself, but why is it that most times there's an update/redesign we LOSE functionality? Now to find a story from say...3 days ago it takes MUCH longer because I have to scrollscrollscroll. Also, I read Gizmodo too. It was nice to be able to go right from one site

Yeah...practically impossible. For me at least... the Xenon headlights overpower the small inboard amber light when I look in the mirror.
