They gave you a pop, not an Abarth...

Combination of fresh sticky tires, a very stiff modified car, pavement camber, and driver error.

Yep, pretty much! Plus I have a C3 Vette for the weekend cruiser (admittedly this poor car sits a lot as most of my weekends april-october are taken up by autocross, hillclimbs, and track days) and a project X1/9

Psh, I don’t need no curb to flip! Nah, combination of fresh sticky tires, a very stiff modified car, pavement camber, and driver error. My adventure later turned into another episode of What Car Should I Buy. (Spoiler: I went with a Mk1 MR2)

Honey, I just finished a year long stint moderating one of the biggest Abarth groups on FB, you think I don’t know these cars?

Are you aware of the fact that it’s no longer 1975? Fiats are perfectly normal, modern cars and as long as you maintain them (just like any other car) they will do fine.

I’ve been an owner since 2012, so 6 years in! Ok, I’m on my 3rd, but not for mechanical reasons. The first got traded in so I could upgrade to an Abarth which is SCCA classable. The second ended up upside down at autocross. The 3rd just crossed 35k miles!

I can advocate for the Abarth here as a repeat offen...owner. These cars really go by the golden rule, if you take care of them, they will take care of you. If you keep up on maintenance they are fine, I know several owners north of 100k miles with no real issues. And they are ridiculous fun, soo much fun. When it

Couldn’t be a Duntov, that sounds like a Russki name and that would rustle the elderly jimmies of potential owners

I honestly don’t have experience with it so I can’t say specifically. I believe it’s a piggyback for one, so not ideal. Maaaybe 200 bhp but I would be doubtful. From my personal experience the RRM “stage 3" kit did 192whp. CAI/downpipe/pulley/4C coils/ EuroCompulsion stage 2 tune was 197 whp. CAI/downpipe/pulley/4C

Road Race Motorsports* cai, lightweight pulley, and high flow downpipe, Eurocompulsion FMIC, 4C coils, silicone vacuum line replacements, and Tork “stage 1" tune. Plus a couple suspension mods, but those don’t matter in this case.

Oh I know, I’m at 202 whp with my Abarth.

With the listed mods it's now maybe 190, hahaha

Christ almighty this is poorly written. Let me translate. Eurocompulsion intake, yes it’s big, it’s pretty much the best CAI available for an American Abarth. The intercooler is also fine, I run it on my car. The "C4" coils are actually Alfa 4C coil packs, a common upgrade for our cars, they're just nicer and made by

I didn’t grow up as someone who was into cars, so frankly my current position is a huge change in and of itself. My first proper car that I was actually interested in was a Fiat and I remain fiercely loyal. But just the fact in general that I am a fiercely loyal Fiat enthusiast would probably surprise the hell out of

Always have your valuables ready to go with an exit plan if you live in a fire prone area, and that includes your cars! And as I learned over the summer, in general, if you’re in a fire prone area, have an exit plan! I was at a hillclimb where an unlucky off started a good sized grass fire and about 15 or so course

Suddenly the ad banner for flying cars on the fence out by the fuel pumps makes sense...

My project X1/9 is going as itself, what's scarier than a non-running vintage Fiat?

I live in Idaho and also would like to keep slow ass pine tree plates out of my area

I have a fauxrarri, it’s a mk1 MR2
