They were two separate events. Boise c&c is held at one of those big entertainment complex type places with a theater, restaurants, etc. We we’re in one parking lot and they were in a separate area. Also, we end at about 11, a bit early for BBQ and beer. It just so happened that today there were two events at the

No, it was a man. The car has been at c&c here before earlier in the summer. Idiocy is not confined to any gender

Mine’s an 87 hardtop effectively bought as a shell. Picked up a 20v 4age blacktop for a little over a grand and the two shall be mated at some point this fall/winter

Lucretia was $750. Not running, but she did technically come with a fully attached motor and was supposedly only a fuel system fix away from running. She was promptly gutted instead, haha

That’s the only kind of autocross I’ve ever done, haha. It’s kinda like learning to read a new language

Lol, definitely subcompact. The space problem with the FoST is it’s not particularly usable space. Drop the seats in an Abarth and you have what is essentially a small van. Drop the seats in a Focus and the floor is still bizarrely high so you really can’t fit much of anything

Before I got my Abarth, a Speed3 was definitely high on my list of contenders

I’m currently on my second 500 Abarth and third 500 in general. My first Abarth was rock solid overall. The only thing that went wrong was from abuse, a hinky when I bought it (used) clutch which I then learned stick on and raced the piss out of, throwout bearing tragically killed itself over this. Sadly, that car

Not necessarily stupid. There’s some baseline mods that are just fine. Things like a bigger rear torsion bar, El Gato chassis braces, Eurocompulsion 4.1 cai, etc.

It’s a Chrysler which is considered mopar legit. Post-takeover import is much more of a stretch, haha

If you’ll excuse me, I need to take a moment to sink my teeth into the FoST and tear it to shreds. It’s not compact, it’s massive. And for all that sheer amount of car, the interior is tiny. Even with the seats dropped, it has very poor usage of space. Tell it to go and it’s silent as a church mouse. Without a tune it

There was a mopar night at the local drag strip over the summer and I desperately wanted to take my Fiat just to see their reaction

Fiat people in general I find are pretty interesting...not that I’m biased or anything

Nope, she’s 100% original and is on the survivor path. She gets care and maintenance as necessary but will never be modified or upgraded. I’m lucky too, she runs and drives beautifully, one of the most trusty C3s you’ll ever meet, especially considering the fuel injection. It was a love at first sight kind of thing

Good point

‘82 CE. I paid for a little over a year before killing the loan

Usually I’m not a synthwave person since I am a die-hard old school synthpop girl, but that song ain’t have bad and as a C3 owner, that video is the tits

Similar boat here. I generally have simple tastes and can afford to just pay for what I want. I could have just as easily bought my Corvette cash (don’t get excited, it was 9 grand) but I put down 50% and financed the rest just to establish credit because I simply have never needed any.

This could be a good lead. Abarth does not always equal Fiat, for example in the UK they’re sold at separate dealers and the paperwork says Abarth, not Fiat. Abarth has also had it’s hands on the occasional Lancia. So this is probably a path worth wandering down

I like a good big ass wang, stock or aftermarket. As long as it goes with the car it’s on. I can accept them on Evos and STIs and all that of course, they’re designed to go with. I also like them on a properly done racecar and am already plotting the looks of mine even though I’m still several months away from it. The
