I firmly in loud horns on motorcycles and my old BMW has twin Fiamms loud enough to wake wake the brain dead. and penetrates the double glazing on an S class Mercedes Benz. While loud pipes do nothing for safety a good horn is only loud when you need it.

Agreed - train horns on cars are idiotic, but a good, loud, sharp horn on a tiny car is pretty much a necessity. I have Hella air horns on my Spitfire and they have woken up stupid people many times in the 20+ years they have been on the car.

From some of the responses, apparently a lot of the commenters think sliding through a red light in front of someone is just fine. Maybe the horn is a little over the top, but sliding through a red light is a lot worse.

Train horns are obnoxious, but I fully support scaring the shit out of people that drive like assholes and make risky moves because they are impatient. Whenever someone cuts me off by making a last second dive bomb left into a driveway instead of waiting for me to pass through or someone is obviously running a red

My Miata has a VERY loud horn. Not quite train horn but it will wake you up if I honked it in your driveway at 3am.

Maybe. Or maybe the Miata driver’s quickness about changing lanes did the trick, and the horn just made his opponent cringe off onto the shoulder after setting up to take the right lane anyway. Can’t say I can really tell from this video.

At least three impacts where that Halo saved drivers lives or from major injury. Great to see them all walking away.

Looking back, it is kind of mind blowing that it took so long for the halos to be implemented.

Halos. Save. Lives.

GM: We could hire our own midget, even shorter than his.”

Well, big deal. Platform sharing is nothing new. The Corvette used the same basic chassis from 1963 through to 1982. The C7 was an evolution of the C6, and the similarities are quite apparent. If a platform works well for its mission its age is really not that important. The current Chrysler 300, Challenger and

Personally, modern interior. Heck, if they just wanted to pump out the 370z or even the 350z body with the 3.7 V6, but put in this new interior, I’d be happy with that.

Because it’s a pretty, well balanced rear wheel drive coupe with a 400hp TT engine that will be at an affordable price point?

Platform whining carryover is just a way for insecure car geeks to try and look smart and discerning. Newsflash, literally every big automaker just started doing what Nissan did 20 years ago with FM. BMW has CLAR, Mercedes has MRx, VWAG has MxB, etc etc. If you think they’re gonna toss those platforms out any time

Get over it? Every company throws out a pile of shit when it comes to marketing. The story of “we just took the old car and made it better in virtually every way” isn’t as sexy... even if that’s really all they had to do since the biggest problem with the old 370Z was the outdated interior.

It is a rear wheel drive, 2 seater sportscar available brand new in the market with a manual gearbox.

I’m personally excited because it means you can buy an updated version of what is practically a JDM late-bubble/golden era car with up to date tech. The best of both worlds.

The looks matter to me. I would not be getting out my checkbook to buy the ugly thing. I don’t care how fast it is, I would be the one who has to look at it in my garage. If others want to buy ugly-ass cars, more power to them.

If I’m getting a 4-cylinder Supra... I’m getting a GR86. I still don’t get the small engine, aside from the BMW platform sharing. Yes, I know that the 90s Supra had a non-turbo option, but if you’re getting a Supra without the turbo V6, you’re doing it wrong.

15001 reasons, and only one counts - the Z is roughly a million times better looking than that misshappen BMW.
