Metal expands and contracts with temperature. Not sure if there is anything as dimensionally stable in all conditions as granite and it’s certainly less brittle than anything you can cast that isn’t metal.

Not to be pedantic or anything, but wouldn’t a ‘simulated weight’ imply that its not an ACTUAL weight??

Considering the issues with the obviously shoddy resto work, a collector would need to be pretty green to consider this a NP because there’s a lot of rework lurking there that a serious collector wouldn’t be able to ignore.
