I’ve heard from first responders that have used it and said they liked it. I’m not saying it’s perfect. It definitely has its drawbacks. But it’s a step in the right direction, isn’t it?

Gotcha. I’m sure these cam and do get hidden but it’s a step in the right direction. There are two QR codes, driver’s door pillar by the VIN, and fuel filler door (which is opposite corner on most Mercedes). Unlikely that both of those would be obscured. But they’re also just decals, so they could wear away over time.

They’re supposed to. In crashes though, things don’t always go as planned.

As far as current news goes, you could find worse.

Exactly. I would love for Harley to actually compete, but it probably won’t happen. They’re too hung up on their old ways. You can get badass retro looks and sounds elsewhere with modern performance and ergo. Triumph and Ducati are both building fantastic bikes these days and are right in line with Harley on pricing.

Agreed. I bought a Monster 1200 to replace my Harley and have put almost 5500 miles on it in the last 6 months. It is twice as good in every way. Even rode 12 hours one day (including breaks and going really slow because of bad weather), at the end of an 1100 mile trip, without getting sore at all. It’s not perfect,

Neutral: No. I grew up with them and always loved them. Then I bought my own. It’s not about the image or any of that for me. Buying a Harley, sitting in it, riding it at first, all felt like coming home from a long trip. But then, the fire nation attacked. Oh wait, wrong story. But then, I started putting more and

I’m more interested in their time machine. You know, the one they used to go back to 2003 where they found those wheels.

Are you trying to get PETA involved in all these sexual abuse cases!?

48v isn’t that new, it’s just getting popular. It’s been used for mild hybrids for years. Any specific questions?

Well, as someone who works for an OE (guess which one!), albeit at the dealer level, what I’ve said is probably as close as you’re going to get to hearing it from them. I do have a friend who works directly for Tesla, in a very technical position but not in a service center, and we’ve had similar conversations. It

It can be really helpful for diagnosing strange intermittent problems and developing better products.

Probably more useful to complain about Facebook, Google, apple, and any other smartphone manufacturers. They’re no better. It’s the age we live in. It sucks someone’s, but you’re going to have a hard time getting away from data collection.

Yes. But from the manufacturer’s standpoint, why? And do you really care if they know you opened your door at 2:04am? Shit, now the wife can go to the manufacturer and prove you were at the strip club last night instead of work like you said!

To everyone here complaining about Tesla overreaching with their vehicle monitoring capabilities. CALM DOWN! They don’t actively monitor cars. The vehicle’s own modules keep data records of all sorts of different things, any and every time the vehicle does or is told to do something by a user.

If I had a cavalier I’d probably be drunk too. All the time.

G500 is the way to go. Stay on top of maintenance and they’ll run forever.
