Cold is relative though. It needs to be defined. And like the article says, the only ones set up with defeat software are VW’s, so under normal operating conditions most are probably acceptable. And I don’t mean high load conditions, but normal just cruising along conditions. Test a bunch of Asian and American cars…

Unless you have a car that uses copper plugs, DON’T GAP THEM! By all means, check them, but if the gap is wrong make the parts store give you a replacement. Attempting to gap platinum or iridium plugs can damage them. Also note that some plugs are 14mm, 5/8", or 13/16" and all can come in 6 or 12 point.
