I don’t disagree with any of these, well done, commentariat!

If you’re wishing that there was a modern version of the P1800 but with, you know, airbags and good crash resistance, I’m happy to let you know the 220-250HP Volvo C30 is a $5-10,000 car now.

Yea but to own a DB9, arguably the best looking car ever made, that is still worth it. Hell, new cars of DB9 tier can depreciate 25-$35k in ONE YEAR. If I can own a DB9 for 3-4 years and lose “only” $10-15k over that time, I’d be pretty happy.

The Chrysler 300:

I saw the picture first and was incredibly perplexed. Then I read the comment and laughed.

50,000 miles a year quickly puts a huge dent on resale value.

Damn shame the Lincoln Continental went the way of the Dodo (again).

Yeah they’re cheap, but a decade old and definitely did not benchmark the contemporary 2014 S-Class, it looks more like the previous-gen inside which was from way back in 2007, and I highly doubt the ride quality is as good as any S.

It’s a good deal, and way less scary than going German. I say go for it, it’ll probably be like owning a solid late 90s Cadillac with more tech. Maybe just find one that isn’t so...gray.

They’re making a truly massive 3 ton sports coupe so I see them making zero efforts to control weight in any way on what will already be a vehicular mastodon.

From what I’ve read, a considerable number of people delete their trucks to avoid expensive emissions system repairs and to get better mileage. Replacing DPF filters and clogged EGR coolers isn’t cheap.
(for the record, my old diesel truck is stock and has all the emissions equipent intact... and this is not to defend

Based on the Charger and its stats the Durango will likely be larger than a Suburban and heavier than an M1A1.

Black Market For Sketchy Tunes

And if you have a proper tune it won’t roll coal. But people don’t want to hear about that.

Good tunes are usually done to get a significant mileage increase and more power is just a bonus. The rolling coal guys can go ef themselves, but deletes and tunes aren’t always just because you want to blow smoke. People pulling heavy loads, especially over long distances, can see huge mileage increases and therefore

Was in a shop in Alberta and they had a bunch of dead powerstrokes and two burned out trucks, guy said it was bad tunes and not Nickleback, too much heat and the engines just melt stuff

You started off being so wrong and then ended being even more wrong than anyone has a right to being wrong.

Literally the only entertainment to be found in F1 any more is from shenanigans like this.

This is all some pretty high comedy, but I’d trade every ounce of it to see a season that’s remotely competitive.
