I've read some stories on people who have figured out how to exploit scratch-off lottery tickets. I'm not sure if it ended in legal ramifications, but I know one guy actually went to work for the lottery company because he figured out the pattern and was able to predict winning tickets.

The lottery is nothing but a tax on stupid people. Just read the article on what's more likely to happen. You're 50 times more likely to be killed by lightning. Just go buy 50 tickets and wait lightning to strike.

I gave Serviio a try and it was pretty simple to use, but for some reason it wouldn't transcode the mp4s. It played the avi's perfectly and seemed to be a great piece of software. I had no issues setting it up, but I couldn't figure out how to make it transcode.

I actually spent all morning reading into this. I tried Serviio, which was mentioned in a different post, but could not get it to transcode properly. I've played with Tversity before but always had issues with it disconnecting. The only way to get it to all sync up again was to reboot the entire network

I've done some more digging. It seems it's the video codec the Xbox isn't compatible with. The audio is AAC. I'm not sure what 10-bit you're referring to, but the AAC is 48 Khz if that's relevant. But the video codec, as listed in the properties while playing in MPC, is avc1. Now I had never heard of that so when

Since this change I've been looking for a good way to stream to my Xbox. A few episodes lately have been in the mp4 format which the xbox doesn't support. I know I could use a service like Tversity or Serviio to transcode as it streams, but I have had issues in the past with Tversity not recognizing the Xbox. It

While the intent of the article was more to point out the irony, I still actually am thankful for the information. I was wondering why recently some of my favorite torrents were coming back in mp4 format as opposed to avi. I too found it quite annoying because I use my Xbox to stream media to my TV and the Xbox

Agreed, I was all geared up to be getting this in mid-May when my upgrade became available on Verizon. It would have been enough time to get out into the public and find out any faults before I grabbed it. I had made up my mind I could live without the pure Android experience on the Nexus for this solid piece of

I don't even know where to begin to understand this, but I agree yours looks better for some mythical and magical reason.

I was thinking the exact same thing. How much more convenient would teleport rings converted to a super laser have been. None of this 20 years of drilling business.

I didn't know that, but if what you're saying is true, then $300 is a little too much. The MLB innings for online streaming only is like $120 and that's for 162 games, both home and away feeds. That's less than $1 a game. I think I'll stick to my 'illegitimate' streams for now.

That's probably closer to the truth. I have nothing but respect for the man, but simply am not a Pats fan. I lived in CT for a while and pretty much dislike all New England sports franchises. I'm sure the winning has something to do with it as well. I grew up in the 90's as a Braves fan and therefore hate the

No, I live in an apartment complex where the buildings are already wired with Cox. Plus I may be one of the few who are actually satisfied with my cable/ISP provider, although it would be pathetic if I wasn't since I have the biggest and fastest package they offer.

I dislike Tom Brady just a little less now. I've become very accustomed to these streams since I live in the Falcons viewing area but am a Panthers fan. The only Panthers games on TV this year were when they played the Falcons. And since the NFL package isn't available on my cable provider, it really is the ONLY

Wouldn't you? If I could sell a company for billions before turning 30 then I would sit around and enjoy retirement before I ever actually worked. Obviously I don't know him very well, but he doesn't strike me as an overly extravagant guy, so I'm sure he could make a couple billion last a while with plenty left over.

I grew up a few hours from Wilmington, NC and the place is amazing. It's not a typical small/quaint beach town like some of the Outer Banks. With UNC Wilmington there you get a nice mix of university town feeling, with 400 year old historical town, and of course the beach atmosphere. It's an excellent tourist spot

Yeah, my inspiration came from stopping by a hot-shot coffee shop (Octane) in Atlanta, that just happens to be an awesome bar. It's also across the street from my favorite beer store (Hop City), so it's kind of a one stop shop for my beverages. But I got a french press in there and had the barista recommend the

Excellent points. I'm just getting into the world of brewing coffee, I've used a drip machine for years. I got a french press for Christmas and have been trying to nail that down but unsure about the type of bean I should buy. I just grabbed a Starbucks bag at the grocery store and ground it with their grinder

Ha! I just finished the 10th season of SG1 and now I'm halfway through season two of SG Atlantis. Ironically I've been debating popping in a Kcup rather than take a quick power nap.
