I was about to say the exact same thing.
I was about to say the exact same thing.
Lived in Cleveland for two years while in school. Let's just say that there is a lot more that is better than just the weather down here in GA. Even still, I grew up on the coast of NC and nothing beats that weather if you don't mind a passing hurricane every now and again.
Dear God, if those specs are more accurate then the debate is settled. I'm not eligible for an upgrade until May, but this is what I want. If they end up being inaccurate, then hopefully by May a phone will come out with similar type specs as what you've listed. Unfortunately it wouldn't have the pure ICS…
I've been using Untapped for a while. It's nice to share what you're drinking and to see what other friends are drinking. As a dubbed beer snob, it's a great way to find new brews to try based on your friends or the general community.
La Gazza Ladra Overture (The Thieving Magpie) written by Gioachino Rossini in the early 19th century. My two degrees in classical music performance finally come to some use.
I'm so glad you posted this. I've recently become a pet owner, we adopted two cats in back to back months, about 10 months ago. Since then we have been trying to figure out ways to combat the shedding. I love everything about owning pets, except that masses of hair and filth we find on our furniture and clothes. …
What was most upsetting and frustrating for me is that this hurricane did become a hype machine, but for the wrong reasons. It was going to make landfall in NJ and NY, possibly still at hurricane intensity; but it was definitely going to make landfall in NC as a hurricane. So while all the stories and articles were…
I grew up in a small town just off a river in eastern NC. The current projected path has the eye of the storm passing right over it. The storm will not have weakened any since the town is only about 45 miles from the coast. They, along, with all the other coastal towns of NC will take the full brunt of this storm.
I was reading this series and then my mom calls me up to ask about her internet. Their house had a lightning strike in their yard and for the last few weeks their internet has been a steady .75 Mbps even though they should get 10 Mbps. They have had 4 visits from techs and scheduled a 5th. While most of the…
Same here, I've noticed it for a few days. It's especially bad if I open multiple articles in different tabs. I'm running Win7 on a core i5, with 6 BG RAM on a 35 MB down connection in Chrome so I doubt it has anything to do with hardware. It's only this site, no other sites, including youtube/netflix/ESPN or any…
I got this keyboard about 4 months ago to replace my Logitech Wave that I had been using for years. On the Wave the keys would get really sticky, but not from stuff that had fallen in it; it was from the lubricant drying. I tried cleaning it and applying more oil but no suggestions would work. After the 2nd one…
Title should read:
I love your fun fact 2. As mentioned before I'm an aspiring professional trombone player. I've been teaching privately for 10 years and the first lesson, no matter skill or age, is about air and breathing. My favorite line I stole from a friend while in college: 'Air is free, use as much as you want.'
As a professionally trained classical musician, I've heard a few explanations over the years. From violinists themselves, I was told that it's mostly due to the wood. From what I was told, they are made with a type of wood from a tree that is now extinct. Whether this is true or not, I've never followed up on.
Same here, just got a HP dv7 a few months ago and love it. It's my first laptop but we've been traveling so much we needed it. At 17'' it has the number pad which I love (I hate using the row of numbers above the keyboard). I only got the i5 with no Bluray or USB 3.0, and threw in the 9 cell battery. For only $600…
Does someone seriously have to remind you that wikipedia isn't a legitimate source?
Ahhh, I love NC. I grew up about an hour from where this was shot. I went to college at ECU, just down the road. Since then I've lived in Cleveland, Hartford, and now in middle GA. I wish I could go back, but not much to offer for a classical musician in the area.
Thank you for this, I've felt the same way the entire time. According to some of the early reports I read yesterday, it was due to poor communication. The troops were led to believe they could have 4 bags, and obviously this was wrong. Then when the Delta employees enforced their policy, they are made to be the bad…
Everything is paid for. Obviously their flight back to the states was military, but once in the US they fly commercial. The travel is mostly paid in advance, such as flight, rental cars, shuttles to and from airports. They are also given a per diem for food and any other travel needs. However, not all costs can be…
Tell that to the 4 people who die or are seriously injured every day. If only half of those are deaths then that is 700 deaths a year in just one city due to aggressive motorists/cyclists/pedestrians. That's nearly the entire population of the small town I grew up in, and that's just each year. It's needless and…
