Perfectly normal, nothing to see here. Pay no attention to the thawing permafrost and melting ice caps.

Probably not us, but things could get really bad for the next few generations. Good thing the Boomers in charge are notoriously empathetic and selfless, so I don’t think it’ll be much of a problem.

This.

It’s been, uh, interesting, that’s for sure. Went from a few weeks of solid sub-zero temperatures to rain. Went from -22F and my car not starting because I forgot to plug in the block heater, to 38F with active rain and ice skating rinks on every surface (the -22F is far preferable, in case anyone’s wondering). But at least shareholder value is being maintained. All the way to the horrible, horrible end.

Never thought that we’d be living on the Genesis Planet.

Meanwhile, in San Diego:

We are so fucked.

YA BUT SEE if I take the average starting at one specific year, and toss out a bunch of years that don’t conform to my world view, things are actually cooling down!” -Climate “Scientists” that may or may not work for exxon

You can actually find out a little about this on YouTube (who’d have guessed), if you are so inclined. Great video about another YouTuber who figured since a Tesla doesn’t need air, he should be able to drive it under water. Video is about the effort to do this, with a good portion of waterproofing the electronics,

This is a 9 year old car. There’s no way the battery pack is still under warranty. If it is, somehow, I’m sure there’ll be a lot of screaming and swearing about how he’s required to pay so much for something under warranty.

If it’s under warranty, replace it for free or for a small deductible? It’s an open-source platform, so maybe they could allow aftermarket manufacturers to produce their own batteries that could be sold direct to the consumer?

They removed the battery and motors from the car prior to the demolition (hopefully to be sold so someone else might have a better shot at avoiding needing to go through Tesla’s first party repair process).

At least we’d have a better health care system

Swedish chemist and inventor Alfred Nobel invented dynamite. While it wasn’t invented in the time of the Vikings, it was invented in the region the Vikings came from.

Oh yeah I’m well aware of that! But Nobel wasn’t a (non-horned) metal-helmeted, axe-wielding Viking any more.

Not sure if you are making a joke or not, but a Swede did invent dynamite.

Tesla has a PR department. Unfortunately, his name is Elon Musk.

Lucky for us that Vikings did not discover dynamite. Or maybe not: we would instead be Finns or Nowegians or Swedes or Danes...

Bless those random angry youtubers blowing stuff up.  Bless them all.
