I'd never seen a Lars von Trier film before so I watched Melancholia and Antichrist one after the other. I found all the repeating themes between the two overbearing and repugnant at times. Since then, I've had no desire to watch another Lars von Trier film.

I always found it bizarre how this episode of 30 Rock and Futurama's Earth Day episode start with the exact same scene: the main character walks into work to find all his/her friends celebrating a major holiday the main character was hitherto completely unaware of.
