Overall, me too. Heck, I can't adequately explain if he's in the same branch that Nobu previously headed up. But we know he's recruiting an army, which I can't promise Gao knew going in… and now she does, and had enough time to talk to the man himself offscreen she probably knows more than that.

In that Karnak has virtually no discernible personality other than a surprising sense of humor before that title, they'd have to.

He seems genuinely surprised when he throws his drink at him. :)

Keep in mind that Department H originated in the X-Books, so they in fact DON'T have the rights to it.

She gains learning what Bakuto is up to, which seems to be mysterious to her, and she knows he won't kill her. There's literally no way she can lose.

I didn't mean to imply that Colleen worked for Gao, but that Gao knew who she DID work for, and that the problem wasn't something that she needed to solve via fighting her way out. If Colleen turned on her bosses and let her go, problem solved. If Bakuto ended up in custody of her, then she could use the opportunity

I just realized YESTERDAY that an adopted Danny actually works pretty darned well and saves a lot of symbolism of his character. But it still doesn't make the Cage stuff work, and that's probably the single most important relationship the character can have.

In retrospect, I'd kinda love it if that was an alias for Shen Kuei…

I legitimately thought as much too. I'm still not sure that Finn Jones had any legitimate idea of what was happening a couple of times in that fight, just based on his face.

It's statistically more likely when you only speak to 4 people, one of whom you knew spoke English beforehand, and two of whom followed her here from America…

I'd have to see him act on a regular basis, but at the moment, he'd be my choice to play Karnak or Shang-Chi in a heartbeat.

Danny actually tried to summon it there once. I wish I was kidding. Then Marvel forgot that they had actually resolved that plot and did a Wolverine/Iron Fist mini to resolve it again….

And yet, I probably enjoyed it more than any of the other Marvel Netflix shows I've seen (no Luke Cage yet), simply because it wasn't dedicated to making its protagonist miserable throughout.

I think it shows that Ward is genuinely trying to be a better person and overcome his upbringing as an adult, as he grows.

I find it ironic, since comics-Ward is Harold's BROTHER rather than child. :) But even there, Ward can't quite commit to competent villainy, whereas Joy, despite being a better person, is DANGEROUS.

I'd trust Star-Lord over Danny at any point. Even the 70s murderous scumbag who stole his job title.

Yeah, either way. Plus, as part of the settlement, Rand's still required to give him that million a year housing allowance…

The character is so heavily a part of the mythos of ALL of the Defenders shows that she's GOING to show up, one way or the other.

Zhou Cheng is the series MVP in fighting and in lines. He may be overall, if Madame Gao isn't. As for Claire , she loves those claws more than life itself, apparently, and takes them home in the final episode.

Gao, beyond a shadow of a doubt wanted to be captured. The exact reason why is yet to be clear, but she could have easily dealt with any of these people and knew she wouldn't have to, since Colleen was a Hand operative and she knows it.
