The show seems to really want to pretend that the Aston was his dad's car without ever actually telling us that.

Genuinely starting to wonder if the answer is "in the last episode of Defenders"

I will say that the flashbacks made me genuinely wonder if he wasn't actively yelling at Danny mystically the entire time instead of it just being spider venom hallucinations.

In fairness, it's increasingly obvious that Harold hired those guys and Ward just used them.

Episode 10 may be better, objectively, I suppose. But this is THE best stand-alone episode.

In fairness, the show does explain that Danny's dad taught him to drive a little before he went off on said fateful plane crash. Davos, who has never left K'un-L'un, calls Danny out on it later, saying he's seen what Danny does when driving the donkey carts.

A later episode confirms this very fact, actually.

A.) It isn't, and there are plenty of women there which we know because Danny talks to Davos about later in the series and at the same time, people in K'un-L'un don't age when they aren't on the material plane in the comics.

I finished it all the day it was released, and I agree with you… the show levels up from here. Danny is literally a different character from this episode on.

Near as I can tell, that's THE theme of the series.

Her laugh was entirely too human for the character, whose bizarre giggles are one of the most notable traits she has.

At least it had a reason to be, since Danny was actively dying from magic spider venom the entire time.

Gao may very well be the most interesting character in ALL of the Netflix series. They'd best not screw her up.

I suspect that if they go that route, she INTENTIONALLY let Danny win here and didn't evoke her horror. Man, I wish they'd done the fakeout with her top though…

Yeah. The reason he's so pissed is that Danny not only stole his chance to become Iron Fist, dishonored his father and his oath as Iron Fist, and fled like a thief in the night, but also left Davos stuck doing his job WITHOUT the power of the Iron Fist.

Canonically, the character has chi powers to compel just that… because her torso is filled with carnivorous spiders that will then absolutely wreck you.

Said girl adversary is a letter-perfect adaptation (minus being albino) of the comics character, so I'd have been a lot more annoyed if she WASN'T in full costume…

But it's so random for either of them to know, given their specifications, that I love what it says about them as people that they DO.

By the time they introduced the father, we'd already had it confirmed that he was definitely, really Mon-El, so, might as well have fun with it. I'd have been happier, of course, if his dad had been Hal-Kar…

I think the real question at this point is less, "Will Snart be restored to life?" and more "Will Snart be hero, villain, or something in-between again?"
