I worked for a place exactly like what you’re describing. I didn’t like it after 6 years. I quit and found another job. I didn’t go online and have a meltdown. People CAN lead uncomplicated, non-drama filled lives when they want to.
I’m glad it wasn’t just me. It sounded like the kind of sloppy rant you go on when you’re well into your third Mai Tai or whatever the youths are drinking nowadays.
This chick is messy as hell. That said, I recently left a job where the owners were a husband and wife team, he was the president, she was the HR manager, and it was dysfunctional as hell, so I do sort of feel her on that one thing and that one thing only.
Also the fact that she calls herself “Highly valuable, highly talented” and “Undying talent”. Plus use of the R word. From a recruiting perspective this is a nopenopenopenope.
This is a pretty huge case of Team Nobody, I’d say.
I’m not going to read this because Insta is for pictures. I don’t care why she got fired, right or wrong, it’s supremely petty and unprofessional to have this fight in public. I’d never hire a person who wrote this online because I’d assume she would just turn around and blast me all over social media next.
I’ve found that people that are all bent out of shape because of “PC culture” are the people that like to be subtly racist, sexist, ablist, etc. and now are pissed that they’re getting (rightfully) called out for using certain words for cheap/shitty laughs from equally cheap/shitty people.
Wait, am I supposed to be rooting for this person? Because I don’t want to root for this person.
I started reading this article, actually FELT my IQ dropping the further I read, and decided to scroll to the comments to see if I was going crazy. It’s good to know I’m not crazy.
“sorry for the hard R—I’ve never claimed to be politically correct, I’m sorry, I love all people.”
That person sounds seriously unhinged and toxic for the work environment. I’m in HR and I wouldn’t touch her as an prospective employee with a 10 foot pole. Sometimes it just doesn’t work out in a work environment. You move on, voice your frustrations to your friends, and get a new job.
I learned a rule from a friend a while ago, and have come to believe in it 100%.
Ok, Pierce Brosnan’s wife, where can I get that swimsuit. Girlfriend looks GOOD.
What?! No mention of the shade thrown in the SJP/ Matthew Broderick item?
Did Matthew Broderick learn nothing from the time that Carrie and Aidan tried to combine apartments??
From the Page Six article, “Plenty of room for SJP’s shoe collection and Broderick’s closet.” Is that a little shady of them given the rumors about Broderick’s orientation?
