Want to know something funny about this? I’m from Seattle, and when I was in high school in 2004, Washington tried to pass a gay marriage bill, but it fell flat. This was during basketball season, and more than one gay women’s basketball player sat during the National Anthem before games to protest. I think it even

making it an attack on the military and the police (“our heroes”) is their way of publicly pressuring all these people of color to shut up and go away without addressing their needs

Yes! And where do you suppose those new Nike uniforms were made, Jason? Perhaps the United States, but perhaps one of the other 42 countries in which Nike has clothing manufacturing plants? Now, that’s downright un-American!

It’s amazing how much they love welfare (corporate), until it goes to a poor person

It’s amazing how much they love the constitution, until you exercise a constitutional right that pisses them off

The no-faced Twitter clowns don’t even realize they’re re-enforcing what Kaepernick and these kids are kneeling for

Okay, enough is enough. This is getting out of hand. Something needs to be done about this terrible trend that’s spreading across our nation’s sports teams. That coach should be fired. You can’t support something “110 percent.” Gah!

It’s interesting to see the reaction of the public whom it seems to bother the most. I haven’t seen those people engage in dialogue to understand the reason for this protest (?). Instead of showing empathy for those who have been abused or feel like they may be treated unfairly due to their race, it’s an empty

The principal of the school has good principles, unlike @jgarner63077.

A spokesperson for Seattle Public Schools said it’s a first amendment issue, and the district fully supports the students’ right to freedom of speech.

This illustration does not adequately convey the cramped size of Carrie’s apartment. I don’t watch Girls but these plans cannot be to the same scale.

You know you’re a New Yorker if you’ve ever moved in with a boyfriend/girlfriend solely for the 50% reduction in rent.

More than the apartments, I’m more annoyed by the “quirky female character who eats a lot of greasy, fatty food but maintains perfect skin and stays slim” trope. She’s not shallow like those salad eating bitches, she just LOOKS like them.

Heh. Well, maybe? But as a former NYer (born and raised, my friend) I can tell you this - unless you’ve got a buttload of money or a family that has lived there since the 1960's and has lived in the same rent-controlled apartment for the last 48 years and will NEVER EVER EVER LEAVE, you’re going to have a hard time

Anyone else sometimes suspect that all the complaining about New York from New Yorkers is just a scam to dissuade people from moving there?

Dogs want to be with their people. I doubt leaving him home while they celebrated, even with a sitter, would have been better for him or their peace of mind.

Also, since she seems to be a huge dog lover I imagine the scene went “We have to carry him!” and she swooped him up and that was that before anyone could say “I’ll help”.

Yeah, people are a little bit quick to judge here. Before I even got to the veternarian part, I saw that the dog was 15. That’s ancient for a lab, and not something that usually happens unless there are attentive and dedicated owners involved.
