The bathroom had a separate water closet. It would be believable for her to close that door ... maybe.
Mistaking the sound of a washing machine for the sound of a possible intruder isn’t going to win him any awards for most conscientious person. But, especially when he’s not expecting anyone else in the house, it’s also far from a sign that he’s such a delusional paranoiac that all reason goes out the window the second…
Yeah, it’s one thing to flip out over sounds when you’re not expecting anyone else in your house. It’s another thing to assume that someone in the bathroom is an intruder when you KNOW SOMEONE IS STAYING IN YOUR HOUSE.
Or at least call out.
Steenkamp was fully dressed and the door to the bathroom locked. Women who are sleeping with their boyfriends don’t get dressed when they get out of bed to pee and they don’t lock the bathroom door.
After seeing the crime scene photos and Reeva’s postmortem pictures ( her father wanted them released), it’s clear he beat her before shooting her. He deserves more time then what he got added on today.
So you believe that he initially thought there was an intruder?
Oh man. You totally eviscerated my argument! He had fucking LADDERS in his yard. Damn, that refutes exactly ZERO of my arguments. And just fucking LOL at that “combat mode” bullshit.
Yeah, totally! We all know how burglars love going for that sweet bathroom loot. And OF COURSE if you heard a noise in the bathroom in the middle of the night, you’d naturally think it was an intruder, rather than thinking it might be the person who’s fucking staying with you.
Good — it’s now at least the lowest sentence for murder, although I think he should have gotten a higher sentence. He was a domestic abuser who killed his GF.
lesser sentence was due to Pistorius’s apparent remorse
How do you shoot someone four times by accident?
Yeah, I’m down. The whole story was garbage.
If I wake up to noises that make me think there is an intruder in my house, my first instinct is going to be to check my partner. I would tap him on his shoulder and/or whisper “I think somebody is in here.” Basically, I’m getting a handle on where my partner is in this…
It is still not enough time in prison but it is better than the original sentence. He lied through his teeth and his story didn’t even make sense.
I mean, he was sad he got caught. I believe that
Masipa ruled at the time that the lesser sentence was due to Pistorius’s apparent remorse
Respect for the dead is the common measure of a civil and decent society.
Have you ever seen the documentary that shows the exhumation of Evita Peron’s body in Italy in the 1970s? She’d been so well preserved, when they opened the box, she looked as though she were just asleep (and needed some face powder).
The Brits handled it well with Ian Brady - the Moors Murderer, they cremated him and put his ashes in an urn made of salt and unceremoniously dumped it into the sea in the middle of the night.
