I loved this exhibit. It was a really neat experience to both take the time to really appreciate the detail and focus on my own, and have a few conversations with other people about what we thought the scenario was. I don’t know if I’ve quietly muttered “wow” under my breath so often in a museum before.

It’s an awful Catch-22. Report the abuse to the dean, who will say he doesn’t believe you and then go back to cranking it to a video of the abuse. Or don’t report it until later, and then have the moralistic assholes in the media scream at you for not coming forward sooner.

Read the indictment. It was photos and videos of MSU students, possibly given under coercion. And Nasser was already fired and convicted, so the investigation is over. The beyond stupid here is you.

That’s what people in denial think even though it only takes a few brain cells to figure out that abuse this widespread and existing for that many years can only be accomplished with the help of these institutions.

When people wonder why no one reports on men like Nassar, it’s because men like Strampel get to watch the videos of assaults. Abuse in institutions is institutionalized.

Oh gosh. It gets sicker AND sicker. We’re used to abusers being ignored and allowed to roam because their movies, music (insert all other talents that many people who don’t abuse have) is “monumental”. But, this is really gross, the boss covering the abuser was also abusing other people AND as a bonus, was watching…

So I take it Penn State will erect a statue for him?
