I found it immensely disappointing, considering it’s one of my all-time favourite books. Everything with Tennant and Sheen was absolute gold, and their chemistry was off the scale, but everything else felt flat and half-assed.

I thinkNatalie Portman’s outfit, which includes a cape embroidered with the names of snubbed women directors, deserves more than an “it’s fine” brush off. 

A genuine plea: can we put Joan on the serious-topics beat (her piece on the California fires was moving and beautiful) and take her off the pop-culture-snark? Because it’s not where her talents lie. Half her snark is incomprehensible, and the other half is just wrong.

The Bojack fan groups I’m part of on FB are filled with about 50% people saying they wish it had ended on episode 15 “The View From Halfway Down” and that

Yes! That’s when I fell in love! (note my screen name.) :D I re-read them out of nostalgia a few years back and they were just as cozy. The later books are...written by a much older women, but especially those first three from the 1960s are some fine fiction!
