Glasses: pains in the ass that get dirty every 30 seconds. Best thing I ever did was get contacts.

@Nitrokart knows CPR and took that guy's wallet: Keep in mind that you can't make a perfect decision, even when you visit schools, even when you spend the night and sit in on classes. Because the people who host you may give you an experience that doesn't entirely match up with what your campus life might turn out to

I'm throwing a bridal shower in one month. I'm one of 4 (FOUR) hosts (all of whom are women). I am not a natural party planner by any stretch of the imagination. Help me preserve my sanity?

I'm going skiing (in Park City, if that matters) next week. I've never been. Any tips or suggestions?

@Skorpeyon: Funny you should say that, because Walmart brand soy sauce was my husband's soy sauce of choice, until they changed their formula. Then, I bought him Kikkoman soy sauce from the local multiethnic food store for him.

I was of the "store brands are just as good as brand names" opinion, until the first time I bought store-brand cola for my husband. He looked at me and said, "you try it if you think it tastes the same." I did, and could barely contain myself. It was awful. So now we're only straight-up Coca-Cola drinkers.

I tried to give the personas a chance, but they just made me feel like I time traveled back to 1999. Ick.

It looks like they're working a referral-type deal, so the institutions have to affiliate themselves with them to be listed. No thanks.

My smart, devious cats have figured out how to open the cabinets. It's gotten so bad that I had to put their food bag in the office closet, because they snuck into the cabinet and started chewing a hole into it. I have our cabinet under the sink barricaded with heavy boxes.

What about candidates who don't have an email address at all? I administer personality tests to candidates as part of my job, and we have to email an invite link to the candidate...and so many of them don't have email addresses. WTF?

@OCEntertainment: The roads really were bad. There was a 30 car pileup. I made it into work, but not without a bit of trouble and slow driving. What non-Southerners (or new Southerners) don't understand is that our problem isn't that 1/4 inch of snow, but rather the ice. That's what shuts the city down. And GA

It only takes about two minutes to log into my bank account and set up a payment when I get a bill. It helps to remember if I actually get a physical bill in the mail rather than email, but regardless, it doesn't take enough effort this way to go through a new process.

@eaglesfan: Technologically, it's very easy to monitor every keystroke on your computer, ever page you visit, etc.

Where in Northish Georgia/Suburban Atlanta should I go to take pictures? I have a new dslr that I want to exercise, but I can't think of any picturesque places to go. I like in strip mall/highway/apartmenttown city. Give me ideas!

I'm getting ready to call Charter and cut off my cable service. I may be persuaded to keep it on if they offer me something good, but I'm at the point where I'd be happy not to have it at all.

@BenjaminLange: My honest experience answer is that Mac is superior in general computing, but if you're majoring in something that might have other requirements, I'd suggest contacting your major's department office and asking them what they suggest. #openthread

I like SousChef. I picked it up from the last MacHeist bundle, and it works perfectly.

I actually prefer to crack my eggs on the counter, instead of on the side of a bowl. It makes for a cleaner break. The shells pull apart easier, and I find I don't end up with shards of shell in the bowl nearly as often, if ever.

@unwritten_law9: Then again, for some people this isn't an option. My college didn't allow you to live off campus unless you were at least 22 years old.
