As a young boy with ADHD whose mom drove him to school in one of these, I learned pretty quickly to make sure I didn't accidentally knock the shifter with my knee while riding. It only took a couple "ka-choong" losses of power before I learned. :)

We opted down from the Limited purely for the color scheme. My wife loved the accents and black wheels. We should have gotten the Limited for the leather and I could have gone aftermarket with the wheels and accents, but it is what it is. We cross shopped this with a CR-V and the Tiguan. In the end, the real world

I loved Life is Strange, and thought Life is Strange: Before the Storm was even better. What infuriated me about LiS2 was all the ridiculous choices you were forced into making to advance the story. I have yet to play the last episode but I hope Dontnod took some of the criticisms to heart as I know my opinion on this

My dad needed a new taillight housing for his 2011 9-5. I think when I checked eBay at the time there was only one available. It had a hairline crack and was going for $1500.

Can verify New England still has it’s awesome Saab shops. There’s one by my dad in NH (he still has his 2011 9-5, a Frankenstein of an automobile that has had a couple minor issues). I am out of Saabs now but I do miss them. Once in my stable: 1980 900 GLi, 1990 900 SPG, 2003 9-5 Aero sedan, 2004 9-5 Arc wagon, 2006

Damn. This is the vehicle my wife and I were looking for when our Grand Cherokee lease was up. We wanted to go EV and looked at the Kia Niro EV but it was just too small. Ended up with a 2019 Forester (bought this time) and figured we’d look again in a few more years, hoping there will be quite a few more options. Need

oh IT’S ON, Dead Elvis, IT’S ON!

;)

I’m 50 years old and still damaged because of what I experienced at a strict southern baptist school as a child. I don’t think I’ll ever be truly free. This is child abuse, pure and simple.

Mmmmmm.... THE very best maple syrup! I try to get some every time I get back to NH. Unfortunately though, they don’t call it “Grade B” anymore. When we die, we will be “Grade A Dark Color Robust Taste.”

I think out of fifty or so articles I’ve read on Deadspin over the last few years, perhaps two were about sports. Oh well, guess I’m not going over there anymore.

That's the magic combo I had on my 2002. It was awesome.

Which reminds me. Phair’s book is out today.

Agree. It’s a very strong record. Kinda cliche and simplistic in places, but overall really solid.

As an aside, I’m a huge Juliana fan, but have a hard time listening to anything past 2011's “There’s Always Another Girl.” Since then it really feels like her heart’s not in it anymore.

Nice to see a shout out to King’s X. I love both bands. :) Great read.

Oh but you *can* actually go into the negative, but you probably don’t want to.

We almost leased a new CX-9. Wanted the CX-5, but the styling cut a huge chunk out of the usable space in the trunk, something so many CUV’s these days seem to do (as opposed to, say, the Forester or CR-V, which are more boxy in the back). So we figured we would get the CX-9 and put the third row down.

“not being to see infront of the vehicle in front of you.. has to be the worst part of any driving. You have no idea what is going on in traffic ahead of you.. when all you can see if the license plate of the vehicle in front of you.”

Ha. I’m not familiar with the much older gens. My dad bought an Accord maybe 15-20 years ago and by the end of a week or so he tried to get the dealership buy it back he was so miserable in it. Really only revealed itself after using it for his commute (which was sometimes a couple hours each way, depending on

Yeah, our lease was up so we had turn it in and make a decision. I think we had looked to see if it was going to be in the 2020 but Toyota hadn’t made a decision yet. That probably means no. Thanks though.

Seats have been a huge problem with the Accord for a couple decades.
