I worked for Acclaim for a short time, when that game was released. You’re right. It was unplayable.

I’m gonna do this. I tried it at first and just abandoned it for some reason. Will have to give it a try again.
That’s it in a nutshell. Perhaps the previous games showing all the dialog gave players the *illusion* of having some nuance in the answers, but not knowing just minimizes the “choose your path” feeling almost to nothingness.
“I’m trying to end a conversation with Dogmeat and select “dismiss” only to find out I just sent him home” <—- OMG THIS!
Definitely inventory management. Also, I only found out about that “Last Of Us” type item choosing cross yesterday when I hit Alt+F9 (or Alt+F10, can’t remember) to save my ShadowPlay and it popped up. I’m like, “oh, would have been nice to know *that* exists.” Course, it probably won’t let me map it to another key.
I…
Yeah, some of it is a little overdone. IIRC, you can turn off certain storm types from the interface, unless I’m thinking of another weather/sky mod. I think I had the same issue you did with the Pip-Boy map. Was it all glowy and washed out so you couldn’t see it?
Haven’t played the modded add-on missions yet. Perhaps…
Wow. Didn’t know it could break the game. I had reinstalled and decided to add it. When I started playing again from an old save, it just worked. Didn’t know it was part of a series either!
I guess sometimes *not* knowing stuff is a good thing? :)
I am taking my sweet time with Fallout 4. I have barely gotten past Concord and I am ten hours or more in. There is so much to discover. I decided to keep an online diary as well. It’s embedding me more deeply in this world that I love so much. I plan to mostly eschew fast travel for this game, unless absolutely…
Mine was delayed on Amazon as well. Said it was shipping on Friday, then “soon” even up through yesterday when it said it was arriving by 8, but tracking hadnt been updated. I chatted Amazon, they said sorry, it was in transit from warehouse to UPS and wouldn’t be delivered Tuesday.
I would love to try this (so many cool melee weapons in NV), but I just love picking people off from a distance way too much. Lol
“I have spent so many hours in Bethesda games dragging my character slowly across the map because I refused to put down useful gear.” <== ALL. THE. DAMNED. TIME. Crawling back to base one inch at a time.
So brilliant. A frustration every Minecraft player has encountered, and yet I never thought to ask, “why is it this way??”
And they were punished pretty severely for it. Losing a #1 draft pick is pretty huge, don’t you think?
So yes, the Pats were punished for something that was legal the season before. They ignored the memo that said you could no longer tape from the sidelines or coach’s booth, etc.
Oh, the other thing I do is I run Fellout with Nevada Skies. I know you’re not supposed to, but it never seems to be a source of instability, and the results are pretty spectacular when wandering outside. My mod list and order is the last shot in the series.
Thanks! Yeah, stability is tough. Every time I make one little change to my mod list, or update a mod it usually begins a cycle of testing to see what else broke (I’m sure you know the feeling). But when you finally get it stable, yeah, I think it really does look current-gen.
Those damned deathclaws.....
I played my first go around of these games on Xbox when they were on sale. I ended up buying them on Steam as well, and then I discovered mods. Hoo-leeee... Totally revolutionized the game for me.
Fallout 3 and NV are my favorite games of all time. I am 46 and have played a lot of games.
Not only that, but not being able to RUN through the boring Vegas wasteland? ... I agree though... LOVE the Capital wasteland. I enjoy the feeling of communities and factions when I am playing New Vegas, but there is just something so appealing about Fallout 3’s feeling of isolation.
