I found it odd that they never directly mentioned his name or referred to Gabriel Jones specifically but in the Season 2 premiere when Triplett dresses in disguise, the name he uses while in the uniform is "General Jones."

That's a good point. I too, UNBELIEVABLY, hoped he wasn't goin out like that. I guess if it weren't for him, she actually wouldn't have met her father…not for a longer while, at least.

I don't know if every episode of Agent Carter has been filmed or if there's any potential casting we haven't heard about.
