It’s their JOB to notice. Quite literally. Flight attendants are there for safety, etc., not just to serve drinks. The fact that they screwed up BIG time doesn’t change the fact that the creeper committed a criminal act. One is a crime, the other is a tort; one in no way lessens the other.

In many cases part of flight attendants’ JOBS is to cause scenes when scenes are necessary. If they just “didn’t want to get involved” and so left an obvious creeper sitting next to a young girl so they could pretend everything was okay, they are the worst kind of cowards.
