“dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.”
They can easily sidestep this whole nonsense by having Loki appear onscreen with a “Sorry I’m late, I was busy sucking a bunch of dicks/making mad love to ladies/doing all genders at once” - seems like the only thing that would appease some people.
Not me, for the record. I like it when characters who are some part…
Twist: turns out Gorr the God Butcher actually supplies all the gods with choice cuts of meat, and it’s all a hilarious misunderstanding.
Finally watched this the other day and I thought it was very cool. Not in an ironic way, or a “compare to other Batmans” way, just...cool. Like when the Batmobile appears and sounds like a fucking BEAST.
NICE. I’m currently catching up on season two and just watched ‘S is for Silence’ which I think I’ll point people to as a perfect example of how idiosyncratic this show is; it’s very funny but also really creepy, with reasonable explanations for things but also some unanswered questions. A demon in a box! OR IS IT?
There better be ninjas in it!
That was a really good read! Thanks for that.
Sam and Gizmo are joined by a teenage street thief named Elle, and together, they encounter—and sometimes battle—colorful monsters and spirits from Chinese folklore.
I hope he has literally no offensive capabilities and so the other player(s) feel terrible for beating on him. Or he comes with a little non-controllable Hogarth, and if he gets murdered then Iron Giant goes fucking mental and obliterates everything onscreen - or gets the option to detonate offscreen with his parting…
Renewed: Superman & Lois
Nice! This is a show that started better than I thought it would be and has only got, um, betterer.
I didn’t realise Black House was the sequel until I was partway through it, buy which point I thought “might as well keep going.” Honestly couldn’t tell you why I’ve never got around to reading The Talisman! I’ll have to rectify that soon!
REVIVAL is very, very good. I’ve never read The Talisman but BLACK HOUSE is incredible - especially in how it deals with the main character coming to terms with the weird experience of his youth and how it’s returned to affect his adult life.
I hope it answers the question of who was responsible for such shodding construction work on that church roof.
My “limited edition” red iPod Nano is now a bit more limited, I guess? It also got me through a substantial number of long-distance flights, when I didn’t have a fancy phone or flew with airlines with boring music selections.
Reliable sources tell me the first five minutes is just Cronenberg facing the camera and flicking Vs at the audience. Then, the last twenty minutes is the same thing except he also has his willy out.
Or “Mans” a la Flight of the Concords: “Not enough ladies, too many mans”
Thank you for reminding me how good The Grinder was...! Cut down in its prime, that show :(
I think it really helped Moon Knight remain standalone by a) having literally no need to incorporate any existing MCU stuff (everything on Disney+ so far tied into an existing franchise/character, for example) and b) setting it in two locales not really used in the MCU so far (Sarf Lahndan and Egypt).
Good. Maybe now he can finally reprise his role of Skeletor, a character who should be putting his hands where people don’t want them.
