This is an astoundingly bad take. Hatchbacks came first. Sedans are terribly impractical compared to hatchbacks. It’s nice for you that you don’t need a hatch, since you don’t like them. but there’s no logic in your argument.

Back when I started this series, I thought my list would be ten vehicles. Then I discovered that doing research on ten often obscure cars was going to take too long, so I backed to down to seven before settling on nine.
I would wager this is totally dependent on there being manual-available fun cars that young people can potentially afford. There are more of those on the market now than there were 12-15 years ago.
