I had hopes as lockdowns and restrictions were lifted, we’d be like some of the countries in Asia, who had outbreaks here and there, after restrictions were lifted, but were able to control them with testing and contact tracing. But nope. It didn’t help the Republican states (I’m looking at you Georgia) prematurely

I’m guessing he’ll also be giving some sort of kumbaya, let’s all be nice, and love each other sort of speech.  Just enough to appease some white, suburban Karen types.  But of course he’ll say or tweet something contradictory the following day.  Even if he had the most empathetic of speeches written, and he delivered

I sadly partially blame social media and the internet. It’s way too easy to publish any sort of medical / health information. I’d like to think that most people should be smart enough to only trust reliable sources but some will find the first thing that pops up on google or believe whatever they see on Facebook.  I

Apparently there’s not enough. One Conservative friend is going on about the few police officers who have died during the protests. Well one officer died as he was trying to stop looters at a pawn shop. Looters aren’t the same as protesters.

I’ve noticed this too. I have one Facebook friend who is always posting prayers and other God stuff. OK. But she’ll be doing it on a Sunday morning instead of going to Church. Hmmm...

For what it’s worth, I know some of those All Lives Matter / Blue Lives Matter / Baby Lives Matter types, who now finally get Black Lives Matter.  It’s sad, that it’s taken such a shit storm of events for them to get BLM, but hopefully they don’t forget.

He was quoted in Playboy magazine how he liked China’s show of strength during the Tiananmen Square protests. Telling, isn’t it?

Sounds like the same Rust Belt mall I went to.  JC Penney’s was definitely a step about Sears.  I much preferred LS Ayres or Marshall Fields.  The clothes at JC Penney’s, at least during the 90s, was always more conservative and frumpy to me.  Sears was mostly utilitarian clothing.

Yup.  Even if he had a staffer write up some platitudes, you know he’d read it in that monotone voice.  He wouldn’t be able to sell it, and would be tweeting contradictions the next morning.

I’ve thought this too. I’ve been reading about the 1968 protests and riots. It was led Nixon to victory as he was the “law and order” candidate. That’s what 45 wants. If he can keep enough suburban white women scared of violent, black protesters, then they’re more likely to vote for him.

With the people that got infected at CPAC you would think Republicans would be a bit more cautions. On the one hand, I’m at the point with the covidiocy that if some MAGA’s want to get infected, then be my guest.  The problem is that they then spread it to people that don’t want to get sick and are vulnerable.

Seriously, who wants to be wearing a face mask, outside in Florida during the summer? I get that Orlando is hurting due to a lack of tourism money, but this does seem unnecessarily risky.

We play a lot of “you’re doing that wrong” but overall, it hasn’t been too terrible. I get frustrated with the messes he leaves. We’re lucky that we do live in a 4 bedroom house, and it’s just the 2 of us. We can escape when we have to.

I had an awful college roommate. We were assigned together randomly for this dorm room. I want to think I’m a nice person. I was respectful. We didn’t really click as friends, but we could tolerate each other, at first.

If there are any upticks in cases, I’m pretty sure it will be attributed to an increase in testing rates vs. people spreading it at protests.

Would all of the pigs and chickens that can be processed at the shut down meat plants help some zoos?  I get there are some logistics issues, but it would be a food source for the carnivores at least.

While based on the numbers for most rural areas, it does seem like they haven’t had nearly as many cases or death. So I would like to think that they could open sooner than other parts of the state. However, something I’ve been recently thinking about, is how many of the urban dwellers may go to rural areas to shop,

I played the heck out of Animal Crossing on my old Gamecube. I’d fish and pluck weeds for hours. I don’t know why that seemed so great.  My husband got me Animal Crossing for the Wii, but by then I had too much going on in life to dedicate to such a game.  Then Pocket Camp came along, and I’ve been playing that for a

I feel for the greater Orlando community who desperately depends on tourists coming to the theme parks for their livelihoods.  However, I do question how safe theme parks will be.  I also question, who will want to wear a face mask inside a theme park in Florida when it’s 90+ degrees outside.  How are they going to

I keep on thinking what would Hillary Clinton have done if she were president handling this mess.  I’m certain the response would have been better.
