I don’t think that “rendering the land useless” makes it useless for animals. Even if abandoned it can be useful for other species (plant and animal) to use and flourish, which will in turn help us. We actually produce enough food to feed the entire world though crops alone. It’s just that we feed it to livestock…

They're both wanting to prove they are an invasive species, which is a death sentence to them all. Their time could be better spent showing how WE are the most invasive species of them all.

I disagree. The kid is clearly OK with pulling the cat's leg. I wonder if he ever did something like that to the neighbor's dog. Plus, that dog could have been abused. It's not the dog's fault. It's the owner's.
