Pretty Asian car generic. Not ugly, but hardly beautiful. Just inoffensive, safe, and not very memorable.

1) It is hideous. 2) You buy a Toyota for its reliability, but this isn’t a Toyota. Open the hood and look at the parts — they all have BMW stamped on them. This won’t have Toyota reliability. It will have the unreliability of a BMW. 3) The body is completely hideous with dozens of fake vender vents. 4) Toyota’s

That is complete and utter bullshit.

You can’t drive with the windows down?

This was the biggest let down in recent memory. Let’s take a BMW tweak it a bit, possibly for the worse, put a different body on it and put a down market badge on it. Yea that is a great idea for a big seller.

Is this surprising? The Supra has been getting hammered in the press lately. I expect more discounts.

While I disagree with taxing the fuck out of anything I’m fine if we let a few companies die to teach the others a lesson. We bailed them all out last time and here we are a decade later with all of them asking for money again. Its becoming the new norm. The car market in particular is a pretty overloaded space. There’

1st Gear: You get a bailout! You get a bailout! Everybody gets a bailout!!

Also a classic example of “I’m smart enough about a few things, so clearly I’m a genius who can do everything.”

Trump says to do something everyone agrees is a good idea - CRITICIZE! Deadspin trash lives on apparently

That’s not a bad thing necessarily but your point is valid - it really doesn’t look 6 figure exotic. It reminds of the i8, very interesting until you hear the price then you start listing all the cars you’d rather have for that money.

In the last year the 8 series was produced 1999 it was so out there and really stood apart from the BMW line up as truly something special. Here it is compared to the rest of the lineup. I think the equivalent today would be the i8 in how polarizing the 8 series was in 1999 compared to the rest of the lineup.

Probably because it looks like a fucking Mustang.

The last time they went 6-> 8-Series they introduced a new platform with a V12 which replaced a dated 15 year old platform. This was back in 1990, btw.

Yeah but...

what the fuck is this lmao

Basically turbos use exhaust energy (that would be wasted) where superchargers require additional energy. Superchargers are always compressing air where turbos are “turned off” at low rpm and load leaving roughly the efficiency of an n/a engine under those operating conditions. Turbos move air when you need them to,

Audi moved to turbocharging in all of those engines about 5 years ago.

I just get flashbacks of Doug’s video on how equipment is shares with a 15K Dodge Dart.

Nah, the Ghibli is definitely the worst. At least the Gran Turismo is pretty.
