1 Corinthians 13
1 Corinthians 13
I'm dubious with claims that simply doubling the amount of money NASA gets would get us a manned Mars mission. There are real obstacles to the trip that haven't been addressed, and can't be until we figure out new ways of keeping astronauts healthy and safe during a 200 day trip in weightlessness, followed…
Nah, with great respect, you're missing the point. I went to the study before I posted my comment here.
And probably not coincidentally those things involve stress levels, which are blamed for a host of mortal illnesses. So, obviously people with untreated sleeplessness would have a higher death rate, too.
There are studies that show stress can cause cancer and lots of other stuff. We go careening off and change our meds, our diet, our vitamins, our alcohol intake (less AND more), our sexual activity, our personal relationships...
To be balanced, maybe they should look at the overall health and mortality rates of people who were told by their doctors that they need these drugs but refused them and suffered untreated sleeplessness. In addition, people who need sleeping pills already have a problem of some sort, and many times such problems…
Beyond the aesthetic issues, we're constantly bombarded with the health shame of being overweight. So much that of late that we're supposedly doing our society a disservice by increasing the cost of health care. How exactly is anyone expected to stay "Plus-Sized" ( I really, really hate that term ) in our current…
I was cringing the whole time waiting for a big wave, imagining all the stitches I'd need after saving a panicked cat...
I sit an imagine all the stop motion animations possible using these, then I throw up a little in my mouth, and decide not to do that again.
I think she meant exactly what she said. If the entrenched, old school upper crust stopped sending their kids to Smith the school would suffer financially. She was longing for the top-down days of individuals and families of note having more power over institutions than the masses.
I'm very sorry if I caused you any pain using it.
I apologize if it offends you, that wasn't the intention. It was not a joke. Rape is a well used metaphor though for what people like Bachman do to economies, to human rights, to natural resources, etc.
I'm glad this was addressed. I do wish, though, when people like Bachmann threaten to rape the entire nation it would be addressed just as vehemently.
Yeah, looking down your list I am not seeing much that is really different.
I always imagined Zeus in this context to be a wildly flapping and honking rapist swan.
I can't really see how there could be a coherent "Christian" voting block. I recall living in rural Tennessee and Kentucky and hearing people there saying that the Catholic church was the evil papist whore of Babylon. You wouldn't even want to get them started on Mormons.
I'll have to watch for that, thank you. A shame they aren't more popular.
It's akin to simple natural selection. Poorer people have to work together to achieve goals. Rich people simply tell people what to do. Poor people have to strive to get things, while rich people just reach out and take them.
The whole reality tv personality thing makes me ill. Kardashians, Jersey Shore people, and on and on ad nauseum. These are such ugly, vile people.
"But are they people? "
