Looking forward to the movie he's got coming after this one, if for no other reason than it looks like Malick be changing up his routine for it.

Highly doubt it'll happen, mostly because it doesn't really make any sense for Gibson to take the gig. Any necessary career rehabilitation has already been accomplished by putting out an acclaimed, oscar-nominated, hit movie.
So that now means Nicholson's final two roles (in all likelihood) will be Bill Murray leftovers.
I was most surprised to hear them say the c-word. That one still seems be the biggest no-no. Case in point, I initially spelled the word out when typing this reply and it got flagged for approval by this site.
The FCC only has authority over broadcast networks, so yes, cable networks are not subject to any sort of government fines or prosecutions. What's been stopping them from cursing constantly all these years was the belief that they'd get blowback from advertisers and cable providers. Evidently standards have now…
At a certain point they just have to make peace with the fact that they’re the quintessential slow sport. Otherwise you’re going to end with awful ideas like this, things that change the game on a pretty fundamental level.
This franchise is perfect timing for Reeves' career. He'll probably be able to keep playing this guy well into his 60s.
It says something about how bad these guys are that the Wayans brothers should feel insulted that at getting lumped in with them.
Death by snu-snu.
Really surprised by this. I'd been assuming for a while that we'd never see him make another film.
Took him long enough to get the hint. The universe wants him to keep making movies till he croaks.
Jack Nicholson warned them.
Nice.
I'm mostly just impressed that Marvel has enough clout these days that they can approach an actress who just won an Oscar with the following pitch: "We don't have a finished script or a director and we're not going to pay all that much. Will you sign a multi-picture deal with us?" and get a Yes.
I think Louie was the first FX show to drop an unbleeped F-bomb. It's become par for the course on FX shows now. Based on this episode though, they apparently don't yet allow shows to display the word in written out form.
It's kind of weird that they said "fuck" unbleeped yet kept it censored on the subtitles.
Are we still making the Asian joke?
The internet reaction this thing is getting is almost entirely driven by the actors. If it was starring Jeff Bridges & Jake Gyllenhaal, everyone's reaction would be "Hmm, sounds interesting" and they'd then never give the film another moment's thought until the trailer dropped.
I actually think it's his worst film as a director (although I haven't seen Man Without A Face). It's got serious first act problems. Still pretty good though.
As far as I know, he hasn't really done anything to anybody. It's mostly just because he has the dreaded "bad politics."
