Beer cases that hold 12 bottles are great for books, can’t get too heavy and reasonably sturdy. Quite handy if you’re breaking up with and moving out from a high functioning alcoholic partner, as new beer cases arrive every day.

I have one biggish bookcase full of books I haven’t read, a smaller one filled with books I have read and are keepers, and a shared one with how-to, reference and art books. I am a rank amateur compared to the other people in my house when it comes to hoarding books... or hoarding anything, actually.

AAAhhhh!!! I hate the backwards book thing, how can you find the one you’re looking for? Also, arranging books by color, which I admit looks nice aesthetically but makes no sense organizationally, really gets my goat, and people who do it on decorating blogs always seem to suspicious amounts of pink and yellow books.…

I baked scones with bacon, apple, scallion and fresh rosemary. It’s a recipe I evolved from bacon cheddar scones. I am ashamed it took me a couple scone bakings to realize: if you want scones two days in a row, put half the dough in the fridge so the second batch can be served hot from the oven.
