I was scrolling through the feed, saw what looked like a pink/purple armor suit behind what passes for the gun you see “yourself” holding in a first person shooter and kept scrolling. But the white blob in the background stuck out and my brain said to me, “Wait, was that Starscream?”

I am going to start Doom Eternal and also try to finish Streets of Rage 4 final level in Mania difficulty.

I am 100% unsure of what I want to be playing this weekend.

I freely admit I played on Easy after a while.

Since firmware 8.00 is fucking up so many PS4s right now, I am going to continue with Switch stuff (Smash, Mario + Rabbids) and old stuff (100%'ing Tony 3 on PS2) until they hotfix it.

Mentioned this in today’s music thread, but I finally wrapped on Pyre last night (after having to wait a week while I diagnosed some PC issues). It’s one of my favorite games, and I don’t hesitate to say that. Gonna be thinking about it for a while, and it merits a return, perhaps annually.

I picked up Quest 2 last week. The only game I’ve bought so far is Until You Fall and I’ve been playing it like crazy. Debating my next purchase. Leaning toward The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners.

Also make sure to use tearblast arrows to knock weapons off big enemies and use it against them.

More Horizon Zero Dawn for me. Still not loving the combat, but everything else about the game is good. I think the bigger enemies have maybe a bit more health than I’d like, or more than I’d expect for just run-of-the-mill, non-boss enemies. I guess I could bump the difficulty down, but I also realized I haven’t been

After finishing the first Shin Megami Tensei at the start of the week I am thinking about trying some more action-oriented game before jumping into its Sequel. On the other side... I already ordered “SMT If” so it would be wise to directly jump into 2.

Finished Stick it to the Man earlier this week and playing their next game Flipping Death. Both games are pretty good, aside from weird controls and physics. Artwork is definitely charming.

First up, I’m still playing through Inkle’s Arthurian “narrative rogue-like” Pendragon. I went through a run at “melodramatic” difficulty (which I think is the 4th easiest, it’s the highest I’ve unlocked), with Sir Kay as my main character this time:

Those are mostly just on display. Only the PS3/360/Wii U and newer are connected to that TV. For the older stuff I use a little 480p LCD I got from a pawn shop, so they only get hooked up when in use:

I was not aware of this game, and will maybe check it out.

Playing some Baldur’s Gate 3 tonight with my friends! Bring on the jank! Beyond that, board games in Tabletop Sim and probably more Skyrim  / Genshin Impact.

My weekday gaming this week belonged to Restaurant Empire II, a game I blew the dust off of and put a good 30 hours into from early Sunday morning onward. Been doing that a lot lately, pulling deep cuts out of my library that I haven’t played in years (considering the age of my Steam account, sometimes over a decade!)

I’ll be playing the terrible story-mode in Squadrons and fighting the urge to friendly fire on the rest of Vanguard squadron - aka the dorkiest bunch of dorks that ever dorked. They are like a highschool AV Club or particularly precocious D&D group, only in x-wings. To the extent Vanguard shares the same expanded

Gonner2 and Ziggurat 2. It’s a great year to be into roguelites!

HADES BABY! I’m one win away from rolling credits, but I still have some final Aspects that I want to unlock and play around with.

The only prime day purchase I made was Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, I hadn’t had time to check it out. Should be interesting!
