I started up a new Yakuza series run through (though I probably won’t do it straight through, gotta still mix things up between games) with a Yakuza 0 legend difficulty run earlier this week, and I’m 12 hours in... to Chapter 2. The grand real estate/yakuza boss conspiracy has started, and our young hero Kiryu... just

THIS

I can’t remember when I wrapped up my P5 Strikers trophy hunting (was it last week? last weekend? who knows!), but I nabbed the final trophy for the platinum in merciless and then put that one down, since weakness-spamming the bosses was getting repetitive. So I finished up a replay of Undertale (still love that game)

I nabbed a platinum trophy for P5 Strikers on Wednesday, and then abandoned my Merciless playthrough because I was tired of spell-spamming my way through everything and didn’t feel like grinding out boss replays to perfect a few personae through skill cards. I’ll probably hop back in again someday to finish that run,

Make it semi-transparent and it’ll call back my Game Boy Advance, and possibly a N64 controller. Both 2nd only to the transparent jewel tones of Dreamcast controllers/accessories.

Oh, totally. I’ve had good stretches of years of good exercise in the past, and it helped so much. Life, uh, finds a way... sometimes to derail routines, and it’s always harder to start things up than it is to maintain momentum. So I know I can do it, and stating it publicly (even anonymously) can help me make the

I rolled credits on Persona 5 Strikers earlier this week, then cleaned up the post-game requests and smashed The Reaper shortly after, and launched a NG+ Merciless game yesterday to wrap up some trophies. I’ll probably keep speeding through that this weekend, and eventually gauge my interest in grinding for loot drops

The main difficulties I found in professional were that enemies hit a LOT harder, took a bunch more damage, and generally attacked faster and with more weapons. However, I never felt that low on ammo, upgrading the initial handgun for its headshot critical bonus worked really well, and rocket launchers still helped

I’ll mix in some steady progress in P5 Strikers—just got to Okinawa after taking a short break recently to do a RE4 Professional playthrough to unlock the fancy laser gun—but this weekend is for playing Doing Our Taxes and Filling Out Forms To Get The City To Come Look At A Giant Tree We Want To Remove From Our Yard

Yeah, I’ve replayed PQ2 half a dozen times and I am not interested in timers and resources and all that f2p nonsense. Pass.

Yeah, that was a big leap forward for me, too. I almost think the first small game area does such a disservice to what the game becomes when you start building roads and then the zip lines. Going back to the first area to build zip lines to 5 star all the survivalists ended up being very satisfying, but it’s kind of a

I know Control has a cover mechanic, but I can’t remember using more than once or twice? A few powers in and it became pretty moot for me. But, yeah, a little bit more damage resistance is a good idea.

This weekend is for a big grocery shopping trip, making a new (to me) cake recipe, and more slow progress in Persona 5 Strikers. I’m having fun with it, but I just haven’t had a ton of time and I find it’s best played either in short bursts of grinding or long sessions of narrative progress. I am, however, delighted

Death Stranding developed into such a fantastic experience that by the end I didn’t want to stop the grind of exploring, setting paths, then planning and making deliveries. It was almost a bummer to hit the last stretch full of bosses and such. I would take a much larger map with more outposts to connect to all with

I would buy a Hamilton & Bird whistling album

That ship was three days from retirement!

Stop, STOP! It’s just making me want to dive back in!

I figure it will be a blast, but at the same time, I think to myself “I found E V E R Y T H I N G in that game...” and it seems like a lot. But then I watch someone play it from the start and think “Oh, that’s gonna be a blast a second time!”. If only I just had 12 more hours in the day...

Totally. I’ll probably start mixing in some Undertale to do just that. Hollow Knight could work that way as well--just make a bit of progress between other main games. Control I just wish there was a NG+, because I don’t want to overwrite my game, so I’d just have to commit to a new playthrough where I do everything

Gonna continue my slow journey through P5 Strikers—only at the second jail now, did a little bit of grinding for gear and items, fused a few more new personas, and generally just getting the combat flow down even more. I’m enjoying it a lot still.
