I think there was maybe one in the Foundation DLC, in an astral plane section, but that is far, far, far less than I wanted. Alan Wake? Yeah, yeah, sure, but gimme an entire Threshold Kids DLC!

P5 Strikers! I’ve been really taking it slow so far in that game—still in the first jail, just tackling one section at a time, switching up the party to try everybody out, get exp, and helping them gain their mastery moves. I don’t think I have a full hang of the combat just yet but I do feel like I’m getting better…
It took me a while to really hit a groove with Danganronpa, but once I did, that game really goes places. I’m looking forward to 2, and the two games after 999 in the nonary series.
I wrapped up my first playthrough of RE4 last weekend, promptly followed by zooming through Assignment Ada and Separate Ways, and then, thanks to the fantastic youtube videos of Sarcosuchas, I took on the Mercenaries mode. Took a bit of getting used to, and Leon’s castle experience was particularly rough, but once I…
Just got to the Island (Chapter 5) in RE4, so it’s all in on Leon’s Wild Euro Vacation until the credits roll (and then diving into the side content modes). One thing I’ve enjoyed from both this and my Nioh playthrough is finding smaller streamers playing the same older games as well—I’ve found two really fun small…
Oh nice! I enjoyed the first game because it was like being in a Laika movie, but the fact that it’s sounding like there’s more good game in there now has me even more interested. Definitely going to have to grab it!
A quick search confirms this--there is a model for the XL as well, but it is a separate circle pad pro model. However! Since I have the “new” 3DS with the little C-stick nubbin, I may be able to engage the circle pad pro features natively! I’m going to test that out next time I get a chance, because that would likely…
I have *a* grip but not the twin-sticks-lite type, sadly. I haven’t looked around to see if any are affordable, and since I got one of the later 3DS model types, I have no idea if it would be compatible, either. I figure just grin and bear it and try to adapt, but maybe I’ll take a look.
I hope you enjoy an herb-free lifestyle from here on out. Thank you for everything you’ve done here.
Lost is an ever-present “fool me once...” of a certain generation of fans, and always will be.
I love DOOM 2016 eternally but clanged off of DOOM Eternal in the third or fourth level--it just wasn’t for me--and replayed 2016 and have no regrets.
I got a little ways in to RE4 last weekend and I’m planning to get back into that, but I charged up my 3DS and not only finished an existing playthrough of 999, but burned through ALL THE TEXT to get the “real” ending of it yesterday. Decent puzzles, had to laugh that the “final boss” was a sudoku puzzle, and the…
One of my favorite little things was to boot up a save from MGS 3 where I’d killed The End before his boss fight, so it was me vs a bunch of elite soldiers in the big sniper fight area. Then I’d just play around and find fun ways to take them all down without being seen. I’d stick bombs on them and wait until they’re…
Being from these accursed states, I have not had (or do not remember having) nanaimo bars, but I have read about them (and I think someone did something in the first episode of the Canadian Bake Off with them) and have them high on my list to make for myself. They totally sound like a winner for my tastes. Like, how…
Finished Pyre last night—great game, great experience, in some ways I wish it was longer and certain aspects were deeper, but I’m probably wrong—and have been mixing in a little THPS1+2 solo tour progress as warm ups and cool downs. I’ll make some more progress in an Undertale replay this weekend for sure, but I’m…
That Action Button video somehow didn’t feel as long as Bela Tarr’s Satantango, but it was just as spellbinding and interesting. Definitely my favorite of the Action Button series so far.
It’s a bit of a throwback open world game, but it’s a great time! It’s a bit like GTA Vice City meets Yakuza and the Arkham games combat meets Infernal Affairs (Chinese action flick that The Departed is based on) with still pretty decent graphics. A little jank here and there but it also doesn’t overstay its welcome…
Finished up with a re-run of Sleeping Dogs earlier this week, on the same day that I was watching a streamer do a first time blind playthrough of Undertale, which instantly made me want to play Undertale again. So I grabbed Undertale for the PS4 and Vita and started a brand new game. It’s like a warm blanket and a mug…
